I have always had rather 'strange' supernatural experiences.
About 8 months ago I had a neck injury. After suffering from it for about 6 months I was lying in bed on night when I sensed/saw in my minds eye, 2 men coming up behind me. The older on said 'right, let's heal this neck of yours'. I felt his finger very lightly moving up and down my neck over the injured area. It did not feel like a physical finger but was a more subtle energy, like a beam of light but very easy to feel. It seemed to go on forever. When I 'woke up' I was aware that the pain in my neck had gone and it has been fine ever since.
However, the other night I had an equally strange experience but it's one I don't really understand. I sensed this being, and it was a man, and he massaged my head with his hands, working from beneath my skull, up the back of my skull, over the top and to the front. I felt his hands, again, made of a subtle energy, and as he did it, the space aroundmy headseemed to be sparking and prickling like electricity. But as he reached the point just at the back of my head, slightly up from base of skull and to the right hand side, his fingers pressed in and I felt that somehow he was penetratrating that area right through the bone into my brain. As this happened I heard his voice say a word I could not quite make out but it sounded like the word memory or remember. This happened twice exactly the same way each time with the voice.
When it was happening part of me was thinking 'wow this is surreal' but another part knew I had to trust and surrender to this man to allow him to do what he was doing and that if I resisted or got scared it would not continue. I felt totally trusting and safe.
The thing is I don't really know what happened!
Was I healed of something?
Or did he activate something?
Or did he release something or erase something?
I know that it did happen but that's it.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Just after finishing the above post about my experience I wandered over to the 'Reiki' section. I happened to come across a post about how sometimes the first session can cause detox symptoms.
I've just realised I have been feeling sick and quite spacey since my experience. Also, today I was just standing there talking to someone when all of a sudden, well....lets just say I had to run off mid sentence and head for the toilet which, luckily, was right there. I was quite shocked at the suddeness it came on with and was wondering what on I could have eaten or if I have a stomach bug as this is very unusual for me.
Could it be something to do with my experience?
I should also add that lately I've been doing a lot of inner work on myself as regards forgiving long held grudges and realeasing old pain and bitterness. Perhaps all of this is relevant.

Wow LJ, What amazing experiences you're having, it appears that those in Spirit are surrounding you and doing some healing work with you. Your neck is feeling much better is it not? - so yes, I think your neck has been re-aligned.
Don't worry about it and just continue to trust, all will be well.

I had a similar experience a few months ago. I woke in the middle of the night and someone was working inside by back, just like moving hands but very gentle, non invasive and but very, very real. I asked spirit what they were doing and they said, 'nothing to worry about we are just doing some repairs' and they laughed :D- so I went back to sleep.
If you ever feel frightened then just ask very firmly to be surrounded by God's white light for love and protection, and that's it. You're a very lucky person to feel spirit working on you. So try this. Hold out your hands, palms up and ask spirit to touch your hands. They will draw shapes on your hands, circles/ figures of 8. This means that you are able to feel spirit. I do it all the time.

Hi Publisher, Spirit work in mysterious ways don't they? Aren't they amazing, and they sure know what they are doing when it comes to energy 'manipulation'. What a great experience you've had.

I'll have to try this as I am also clairsentient, so am sure I'll pick up something. I have picked up on my guardian angel, she has a particular energy signature that I feel.

thankyou everyone.
It is so good to speak to people who experience similar things. I don't personally know anyone who does and if I tell people some of the things that have happened to me over the years I'm sure they think I am imagining it or lying.
I am 41 and have always wanted to know what my purpose/career is supposed to be in life. I have had twenty years of totally unfulfilling jobs and can never find anything I want to do that really feels right. I have often thought I must be some sort of misfit. I know I am a capable and intelligent person yet here I am at this advanced age still needing to find my niche.
Two years ago I had the opportunity to leave my employment and take time out. The idea was to start my own business but despite endless planning and enthusiasm it never seems to come off. I feel on some level I am holding myself back.
It seems unebelievable but it is only within the past few weeks I have wondered if I should be working in the area of spirituality/ alternative therapies.
I did train as a hypnotherapist about five years ago but I quickly lost interest. Hypnotherapy appealed to me as I have always been fascinated by the power of the mind. I have also considered training myself in NLP for the same reason but, again, I find it lacks something. The thought of hands on massage has also been considered but that doesn't hold full appeal either.
In the past few days I have realised that the reason none of these 'sit' perfectly is that it seems futile to me to work on the mind or the body if it does not incorporate working on spirit/energy as well; however effective the results are.
I am now wondering how comes I have been so slow to pick all of this up!!
I now feel I need some sort of guidance and help to clarify my purpose and move onto the next stage.
Do you have any advice for me? I have never had a Reiki session and am planning to do that very soon.
Is there anything else that you could recommend from your own experiences?

Hi again LJ, I don't think you've been slow to pick all this up, the plan is divine and perhaps now is the right time, and those in Spirit are helping you along.
Aside from the reiki, you may with to consider vibrational medicine, by that I mean flower essences/gem essences and environmental essences.
We each have a purpose on incarnating, however, that purpose may become obscure, and hidden. Essences work to clear any baggage you may be holding onto, and work at cell level so that your 'purpose' becomes clearer. The clearer your energy body, the clearer everything else becomes.
I speak from experience as I began to discover my 'purpose' after having taken essences for quite some time. I now spend a lot of time making remedies for animals and people and I get very excited about essences in general, they are going to be the medicine of the future, it's just gonna take a little while.
It may be something else to consider.

What hypnosis and NLP (and a number of other therapies) have in common is the fact that they place one person in charge of another. It takes the impetus away from the one who needs healing and puts it in the hands of the one who wants to provide it for them.
Healing is the right of the one who seeks it. As therapists we allow ourselves to be used, but never to provide it ourselves.
Did you need someone else involved when you received your healing? No, the healing was between you and Spirit.
So whatever direction you choose to go, be very conscious of the fact that you should not put yourself in a position of determining what happens with someone else.
