Hi all
I was wondering if anyone has experienced spiritual healing? and would you like to share your experience? What did you feel etc?
Is there anyone who practices spiritual healing (one2one)? and would you like to share what you experience? What do you feel?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

Hi Crystallove, I am a spiritual healer and give regular treatments, and I've also experienced many healing treatments. A truly beautiful soul based therapy.

One can experience and feel many things, warmth, tingling, releasing, tears, coldness, pulsing, depending on the person.

Are you into healing?

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

Hi Crystallove,

Like Rosi, I'm also a spiritual healer and feel that Rosi has pretty much covered it in terms of answer to your question.
But I'm writing because I'm interested as to why you ask, I mean (if it's not prying) what is the reson that made you ask this question? - If we know, then perhaps healers like Rosi and many others could give you a more full and appropriate answer...
Unless of of coarse, that is actually all you wanted to know:)

Roger

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

could i add a few questions to crystallove's?

I know there has been a number of threads on the reiki forum asking the difference between the two types of healing - the consenus being that majority of reiki practioners believe all healing comes from the same source (that's what I gathered anyway, so apologies if I've misinterpreted the responses!). This makes absolute sense to me. Do you agree? Would you say that you're doing exactly the same thing except without the use of specific hand movements and symbols? I feel so drawn to healing but am getting confused with all the information! I hope your responses will be of interest to Crystallove too 🙂

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

Hi Rosi1
"Thankyou" for your reply it was very much apreciated:D
Yes, I'm into healing (although I'm not qualified) I've read and researched an awful lot, but would love to learn more.
With a big family, house hunting etc at the mo it's hard to find spare time.
So any help/advice would be welcomed:D
Can you help?

Hi Roger
"Thankyou" also for your response:D I'm soo relieved that you asked me "why I was asking" (hope that makes sense). I've been pondering on this post for some time now[&:] but must add, it's hard to ask for help/advice/guidance when your not sure what it is your doing[:o] or for a better way of putting it "what am I doing?"
Where do I need to be looking/going to improve this?
Do I need a master/teacher?

Hi Joanna
Thanks for the input:D
IMHO, I truely believe that all healing comes from the same source, it's just practised/directed in different ways. So yes, I agree with you:)
You said "would you say you're doing exactly the same thing except without the use of specific hand movements and symbols?" YES, (sorry still can't do that quote thing yet, lol).
Joanna, do you do the same?

Rosi1, Roger & Joanna
Any views/advice/guidance would be greatly received:)
I will respond to you as soon as I can (please be patient with me) I've got bucket loads of stuff going on.
I would just like to thank you all for taking the time[sm=grouphug.gif]

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

Hi Folks,
The way that I learned to find time for myself was to book an appointment for myself on so and such a day and so and such a time and treated it lets say as dental appointment. If anyone ask me if I could do something on that day I would say no as I have an appointment booked. ( You must keep the appointment as you would if you really had booked it; which in effect you have). Do not be swayed by family and friends as it is so easy to give in under their shall we say gentle persuasion. (Naturally, unless it is an emergency or business appointment). With children , maybe you have a trusted friend or family member who will look after them for a short while. It can also be fun as you see your friends/family more often than you would normally so there are many + to this arrangement.

The time you take at your appointment could be from 10 minutes to one hour. If you could choose the same day each time it is mazing how folk eventually get used to you not being available on that particular day at so and such time.

Hope this helps you, it did it for me:)

Hugs,
Paul Big Bear

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

Hi Crystallove,

A good book to buy is Your Healing Power byJack Angelo. ISBN 0-7499-1326-6. Piatkus publishers.

Your healing power, a step -by - step practical course for those who wish to awaken and develop their own healing gift. Written by one of Britains most respected spiritual healers and teachers, it includes

Exercises to help you develop an understanding of the human body and work with its energies.

Explanations of the nature of disease and the role of the mind and emotions in healing.

Detailed instructions on how to heal others and how to run a healing practice.

There is also another book called the "Hands of Light" by .......Brennan I think, I have loaned this book out so I do not have the details to this.

Both very good informative books, you may be able to ourchase them online from .

Hope this helps in the meantime.[sm=grouphug.gif]

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

Hi Crystallove, Some excellent advice from everyone who has contributed to this thread.

I would also recommend the two books that have been recommended by Paul Big Bear, a definite read.

Just to mention also, that both the authors have second books out, with more advanced information, also a definite read.

The second book by Jack Angelo was written as a consequence to their healing practice expanding, and they share insights they have gained along their healing path and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Sorry for the delay in replying:)
Great advice from everyone in terms of where to look and improve (I will be looking up those books too).
‘Faith’ and ‘mindful intent’ are most important assets (in my view), yet you also need to stay detached from the outcome (this also protects you from disappointments).
I believe everyone can heal if they have no agenda and are only radiating love/energy at the moment of ‘healing’ (if you are a mother, you will have a memory somewhere, that at a down moment, a low ebb – when holding you infant in your arms – you experienced receiving healing); that’s because the child had no agenda – you needed – it gave.:D (this in my world is called 'the empty way' or 'no mind').

Re: the teacher / master question,
Because of my way of thinking, I am comfortable with seeking a master or teacher (but then I arrived at healing through the martial arts – so the concept sits well with me) – but it’s not for everyone. I think HP is a wonderful place to gain a wealth of ideas on how to progress in anything spiritual – just see what advice (outfit) you can slip on the easiest and yet feels the most ‘right’ for you.[sm=hippy.gif]

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

Hi Crystallove, There are no right or wrong ways of closing down, whatever feels right for you will be perfect.

Generally people try different techniques and will end up using the one that they feel is most appropriate for them. Sometimes you will even add your own bits, that's what it's about, having fun and playing with the energies, remembering always to have a pure intent.

After I have given a spiritual healing treatment, I will thank my Spirit helpers for their assistance, I will also thank the higher self of the person I'm working with, for allowing me to work within their sacred space. I will then disconnect from the client I'm working with (on an energetic level), I will say the words "I now disconnect from and (person's name), and as I move away, I become aware of my energy field moving away from theirs, and I will also shake my fingers towards the Earth dispersing of an residual energies. I will also ensure that I ground myself, thus bringing my consciousness back into the physical. A glass of water for yourself and the client is extremely grounding, and ensures that they are functioning fully present in the hear and now.

If the person you have been working with looks remotely spaced out, I would recommend placing your hands over their feet, to help ground them and balance them. Asking the client to visualise roots extending from the bottom of his feet, deep into the Earth, is helpful too, and involves the client in their own healing, and they will usually feel something, and that's always positive too.

Too much information I'm sure, but it seemed appropriate.

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

Hi, I only just noticed this but would like to join in.:D

I have done parts I and II of the National Federationi of Spiritual Healers course recently and loved it. I have already done Reiki I and II but was always drawn towards this and thought about it three years ago but it was a time thing. Anyway, the opportunity presented itself so I did it.

I think what I like about the course is that it takes two years and it covers a lot of different aspects of healing. You don't have to do the two years to learn healing, but if you want to become a Full Healer then you do the courses and you get two sponsors who are already healers and you work as a probationer during that time. After the two years you go before a board of experienced healers and have to answer some questions and do a healing session. It isn't for everybody i know, but I'm ok with it.

The NFSH are very well established and I like that really. I have got a really great teacher and it's the best thing to be able to ask him anything and get the answers. I don't think that becoming a healer is an overnight thing, it can take years and years.

I liked Roger's bit about being a mum and the way he put it, because really that sums it up. If you can get your ego out of the way then you are halfway there. Healing isn't about what you think is right for that person, you can't say for instance 'please let Fred's bad leg get better', because it's not about that. It isn't for the healer or the person being healed to decide really.

I have been taught pretty much what Rosi says. One of my biggest concerns since I started the course is grounding. I really don't think enough emphasis is put on this in Reiki. Giving healing on a couch means that the person is not grounded at all, and can only be grounded if another healer stands at their feet. Spiritual healing is done with the person seated with the feet firmly planted on the floor and then as Rosi says the other bit to finish. I won't give healing on the couch now with having the client sit in a chair for five minutes at the end to be thorougly grounded. I only use the couch reluctantly as people like to lie down, don't they?

I felt way out of my depth with Reiki and had some experiences that I didn't understand. I feel a lot safer now and feel that I am taking it slowly and that's fine by me.

I can recommend the NFSH courses if you are interested. I think it's great to read books and I can't see why you can't do this without a teacher, but I think you benefit a lot from having their experience and also the group contact. You work on your fellow students and get lots of feedback which is important. It's also really enjoyable and you get to have some good conversations! You don't get that from a book, do you? Well, not unless it's a talking book.:D

Hope that helps, I'll be glad to pass on any info that will help you.

I wouldn't give much more thought to why you want to do it. I wanted to do it, knew I would do it and that's it really.;)

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

Just to clarify what you've said about grounding and working on a couch Candie. Spiritual healing can be given either on a chair or on a couch, if I remember correctly it's either covered in the course, or it's a separate day, can't remember now.

The client being on the couch doesn't necessarily mean they aren't grounded, yes, when you're sat on the chair your feet are making contact with the ground, and not on the couch, but I find that with both couch healing and chair healing I spend a lot of time at the feet, I am drawn there, that's because the feet not only ground the person, but certainly in my healing work, the feet are also a balance point. I may go to someones feet 3 or 4 times throughout the healing treatment, whether on the couch or chair.

It's a good idea like you say Candie to make sure the client is fully grounded in the here and now. A glass of water helps to ground them also.

Something else that is wonderful about using a couch is that I believe it is very important to have the client as relaxed as possible and lying down gives them that opportunity. Deeper healing can take place if the person is fully relaxed, as healers. creating the healing space, and allowing the client to feel safe and relaxed is very healing in itself and the client will feel this at some level.

Keep having fun.

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

I came up with a compromise today. I used a chair (it's meant to be a reflexolgy chair but the person who sold us the business took it and replaced it with a dodgy garden chair!) but it does the job. They can lie back and relax but their feet are on the ground at the same time. Am happy with that.:D

Hi Candie & Rosi1
Thankyou both for taking the time to reply (any information or advice you wish to share with me would be most welcomed:D:Djust post away:D:D
Candie, I would love to have enough time to do a course like the one you are doing, but having 6 kids etc..it's a little difficult (at the moment) anyway.
If you have any information on workshops/one day course/short course I would be very greatful:D
I understand how important grounding is, and thankyou both for giving me more clarity:D
Rosi1, I'm having loads of fun & enjoying every minute of it (as is the person who's receiving healing)
Candie, I have 2 of the chairs that you mentioned, what a great idea;)
Many Thanks to you both

RE: A few questions about "Spiritual Healing"

Hi. The course actually consists of ten days attendance and the probationary period is two years. The courses differ from area to area, teacher to teacher I believe as to when the run etc. Ours have ended up quite close together and will finish in January. So, it might sound more involved to you than it really is! But with six children, well I can understand that you might find it difficult to get away. One day though!

Maybe it's something I should think about a little more;).....hey, you never know.

I've been in Chester today (through a whole heap of "sychronicity" I might add;). Anyway, to cut a really long story short[&:] I was given some information on workshop's etc run by Carl Fletcher (Spiritual Medium & Healer). I'm more than interested..It "feels" right:D
Carl Fletcher has "an afternoon audience of mediumship" this Saturday in Chester. My husband & I are hoping to go away for an evening or 2 this weekend, not too far, as he would like to go on the motorbike lol, & the weather hasn't been.....well[&:][&:] I also noticed there's a very posh hotel not far away from the venue (walking distance) won't be that posh when we pull up on the bike[sm=rollaugh.gif][sm=rollaugh.gif][sm=rollaugh.gif][sm=rollaugh.gif][sm=rollaugh.gif]
