I have been asked to provide reiki tasters on 2 pamper evenings in December Im not sure however if Its a good environment to do reiki. I am concerened thet working in a room with lots of differents energies in the room may not be good.
Has amyone here done reiki tasters on a pamper nite and was it a sucess?
I have not done a pamper evening, but have given Reiki tasters at an event put on in a library, it was quite busy, lots of bustle..noisier than a pamper party I should think, but it went very well and everyone enjoyed the experience.
If you wait for perfection, you will miss loads of oppoetunities to share reiki

I do this a lot - it's the only thing I'm comfortable doing at a pamper party! 20 minute sessions are enough. You would be surprised at the "zoning out" the clients experience, even if there's music playing, demonstrations, hundreds of people milling about... and the best thing is that the client doesn't have to take anything off, all they have to do is lie (or sit, if I take my Lafuma recliner) still for 20 minutes. Many busy mums appreciate that.
Some pamper evenings I've attended have quiet rooms for therapists, it might be an idea to ask if they have a small room for a few therapists, where you can have dimmed lighting and create a good ambience for your taster reiki sessions. Seats can be provided outside these smaller rooms therefore you don't have as much through traffic and less interrruptions allowing you to focus on your treatment.

I also have not done a pamper evening as such, but plenty of MBS type festivals, and it was never a problem having other people and energies around, not even on one famous occasion when my stand was adjacent to that of a man who was shouting the odds long and loud about how Reiki was utter RUBBISH, and HIS healing ... whatever that was, but we all learned that it came from on high ... was the only one worth having 😀
A few of us, Reiki and spiritual healers, got our heads together and debated whether to report him to the management. In the end we decided to say or do nothing and let the Universe deal with him as it saw fit 😉
I'd say go and focus on your Reiki tasters, and enjoy! 🙂

I also have given Reiki tasters at PTA evenings at local schools and had no problems with the recipients drifting off (even though at one event they had put me right next to a Salsa dance demonstration!!). Reiki can be like the 'Martini girls' "anytime, any place, anywhere"!

I too had concerns about Reiki tasters on a pamper evening, but was more concerned about doing this at many holistic fairs/events due to the lack of privacy and the volume of people in the room. I needn't have worried! I've done this so many times and its not a problem - I enjoy doing Reiki tasters in this way.
If people want privacy and a full treatment - they'll book an appointment with you for another time.
Its an excellent idea and as ChrisRams said - the clients don't have to take anything off - they just sit fully clothed and relax.
Do go ahead and join in the pamper evenings - I'm sure it'll be just fine!
Good luck!
