Hi New Beginnings
Back to the question you actually asked in the first place! Id say speak to your Reiki master. Also Im sure you were given some meditations to do as well as the daily body brushing techniques....so I would make time to do those. I used to set aside an hour every evening or more to do meditation and really focus on the energy- not really making anything happen, just letting it flow and feeling it- getting used to feeling it. Id also make time to self heal every day- even if it means a hand on your tum as you go to sleep, watch tv and so on. And baby will love the Reiki too.
There are good books on Reiki - that act as a guide when on Level one- including Barbra Ann Brennan and Penelope Quest. The last one answers a lot of the questions one may have at level one
I hope that helps and I wish you every blessing on your Reiki journey
It is a way of life and so part of the journey is about finding that new way- whatever that may mean to you and at whatever pace for you

Just to point out that Barbara Ann Brennan's books are not about Reiki but about Energy Field Healing in general. They're still useful to Reiki practitioners, but if you're just looking at Reiki pure and simple, then they're not really suitable.
