I broke my wrist last week and have my arm in a cast. My sister-in-law visited today and I offered a Reiki session (were trying to reduce pain in her knee).
During the session my arm inside the cast began to feel as if it was swelling and my cast became tight and uncomfortable. It also felt hot even though I wasn't actually using that hand.
Has anyone else had this or can explain it?

When we heal we use our full being to channel the energy, someone without arms would still be channelling the energy through the energy channels that run through their non existent physical arms.
You would have as much joy trying to stop the energy flowing through your broken wrist as you would the blood supply just by thinking I will not allow any blood to flow through that arm, the good news is as the energy is flowing past something that requires healing, it will heal it at the same time 😉

Some times when i do reiki healing i can feel reiki energy coming through my eyes and the breath even i dont want, Universe energy flowing through all your body too to help you and person you heal.

Think that it means your arm was healing at the same time as Paul says - wonder what your doctors will say about the healing when you have the cast taken off ... it should be better than usual!

The cast has come off earlier than expected ,
found I was instinctively putting my hand over the 'sore' bit and It would become hot and tight.
When I did healing on someone else the cast became very uncomfortable.
I often wondered if there were any actual physical changes during healing and I suppose this must be an indication.
It's fascinating!
