Hi, has anyone heard of this? It's supposed to be closer to the original method of reiki practised in the 30's. I'm already attuned to Reiki II, but don't feel that I'm getting all out of it that I could. I'm feeling sort of drawn to try this, and wondered if anyone had any experiences of it. Thanks!
Sorry I can't help although I too had heard there was something closer to the original Reiki. I'd be interested to find out too and hear how you get on.
Am I allowed to post links? Here it is if so (and I'm happy to take it down if not!)

Thanks Zuzu I'll have a good look at that shortly.
Jikiden Reiki has been brought to the West by Tadao Yamaguchi and his mother. She was taught by Chujiro Hayashi who studied with Usui Sensei. (You can see this lineage in The Reiki Sourcebook). Tadao and his mother have not altered the teachings at all from what they were taught by Hayashi sensei, and therefore Jikiden is considered to be one of the closest Reiki teachings to how it was originally taught by Usui sensei.
I am booked in to learn Jikiden myself in a few weeks time and I'm really looking forward to it.

Yes you are allowed, as long as it is not your own website, or one you are affilliated with in some way or would gain financially from.

Thanks, Giles - I think I'll go ahead and take a course in it myself! I'm not really sure how good my Reiki Master was, and would love to 'kick start' my Reiki a bit more - this sounds like just the thing.
I was on a Usui Reiki CPD workshop this month and the Reiki Tutor is about to start courses, hopefully be run at Dundee University (she is also a lecturer) She has just finished her Jikiden training and hopes to start later this year.
