Hi
I did level one Reiki several years ago and level 2 about 18 months ago. Each time I studied with a different Reiki master. Today I met a lovely lady who I instantly felt drawn to. She is a Reiki master who studied under the same man I did my level 1 with. She has offered to take me through my Reiki master. In your opinion, does it matter that I do my Reiki master with a different person from the one who took me through level 2? Although I really liked my level 2 Reiki master I didnt feel instantly drawn to her as I do with this new lady. What do you think?

Hi Angelfriend,

In my opinon you should definately go with your instinct and learn with the lady you feel drawn to.
I comment as someone who did their master/teacher level with someone totally different from who I did the first parts with. I felt that the contrast in styles of teaching and the ability to ask questions as to why some aspects were taught with slightly different emphasis, was undoubtedly beneficial.

Best wishes

Mike

I heard a saying that when you are ready for Reiki it will come to you. The fact that you feel drawn to this lady and are wanting to do your Master level shows how it has all come together at the right time for you. If you feel comfortable with her I would go for it. I often tell clients to have a Reiki treatment with the Master before you make any decisions as it will give you the confirmation (or otherwise) that you need to go ahead with it. This would be less expensive if you then decided not to train with them as it is quite expensive to train to be a Reiki Master. I am a great believer that things happen or appear when they are meant to be so I would suggest you go with your gut instinct and good luck with your Reiki journey.
Reiki Blessings,

it is ok to use different one go wiht your instincts. the one I had for reiki 1 different from the one I had for reiki 2 and reiki master. both nice ladies but the 1st one too expensive for me and awkward to get home after the atturnemnt. whearas the second one lived nearer and I could afford the prices.

Enjoy it!

Reiki

“Reiki can never and will never belong to just one person or one organisation. Reiki is the spiritual heritage of all of humanity”. [Usui (1922)].

I totally believe this and reiterate it to all of my students, some of which come to me from another Reiki Master, some of which I've taken to that particular level, and some of which may well learn further with another Reiki Master. They all do so with my blessing. xxx

Thank you all for your help and advice. I'm seeing the Reiki master tonight, she's coming to give me an Indian head massage so we'll most likely discuss Reiki as well. Certain members of my family think I "shouldn't be buying training in yet something else if it isnt going to earn me money" I had to laugh really because if they actually knew something about Reiki they would know that it isnt about making money!

Going with your intuition is always the best way to go. Having said that, I would still research the teacher and the course they teach to make sure it meets with my requirements.

Just one thing that came to me... Is your instinct telling you the teacher is a good person or is it telling you they are a good Reiki teacher? Being 'drawn' to someone can mean many things.

Go for it. There are many different Reiki teachers out there and someone you connect with and 'it feels right', is the one to learn from.

They will reach you on an energetic level that another who might have all the credentials and experience does not. 🙂 Everything is in divine order so you will receive at that time what you need, just like Reiki itself.

Just be a good student and read, learn and practice....I believe that you will learn more from giving Reiki than you will from being taught Reiki. Self regulate and always practice with integrity and a strict code of ethics.

There are as many different types of Reiki out there as there are Reiki Masters, However, in the world we live in today all we have is our intuition, so follow yours.

Enjoy...how exciting 🙂
