As mentioned in another thread... I wondered if anyone could shed any light on what celtic reiki is? How does the attunement seem different and does it serve a particular healing purpose???

Also, can any one recommend anyone to perform such an attunement???

Celtic Reiki uses the ogham signs and letters for inspiration and healing....I use the Beth, Luis, Nion alphabet....and I meditated on each letter of the ogham alphabet for one month....before I even started to cut my Ogham sticks......each letter represents a tree, and each tree has a healing quality.

here's a couple of links;

Good Luck

They look really interesting links. Thanks oakapple!

Where did you do your attunement to it? I'm very intrigued by all these different types of reiki. Every one seems to have such a different energy to them.

Do you find you use this reiki for a different type of healing than the traditional reiki?

I could give you a list of things that I do!!.....but the bottom line is;

A healer is someone that makes another person feel better in themselves!.

To make someone smile...or to give another confidence.....a pat on the back, is sometimes enough.

I think Celtic Reiki is slightly different to Usui Reiki, in that your attunement is within the woods and trees and it is much more based on the earthly aspects of healing, not so clinical....each tree has different healing properties, and is governed by a planet, these should be learnt first, IMO, but do whatever YOU feel is right. I give one day a week to the local woodland trust and a day a month to our local wood, so the learning is in the doing.
