Thank you for sharing that information, it is good to hear what Takata-sensei thought about Reiki. I find it illuminating and a good insight into the character that is Mrs Takata.
Though curious that she saw Ki energy as coming from the Sun :rolleyes: rather than the energy of the Universe. I guess it comes down to 'scientific' understanding at the time.

literally, the: "Great Sun"

So it appears that Takata took Reiki one step further beyond healing herself, clients, and teaching students: she began to extend her practice to begin healing society.
