Thank you!

Thank you to everyone for posting old questions here. I am new to this site, just finding my way about. Got exam in November so some time to try all these questions!

Belladonna,

I'm sure Gussie will give you a more complete answer, but hands free massage (as far as I'm aware) is exactly what it says on the tin. It's massage bit without using the hands. The massage is performed using the arms and legs which, I believe, can help to take the strain off the masseurs hands/wrists as well as offering a different type of massage covering larger areas in each movement.

That's all I know.

Love and Reiki Hugs

Well Belladonna, I do NO HANDS Massage, not Hands Free, although both are linked. As Giles has said, these techniques use primarily the forearms although other areas can be used to massage. In doing so, postural awareness is increased and promoted, which reduces the chance of injury to the therapist. Many therapists have to give up their jobs because they have injured themselves, so the hands, wrists and thumbs are given a well
deserved break. If you search on the forum you'll see that a number of us do NO HANDS. The website is www.nohandsmassage.com - I just love doing it.

Hello,

I was hoping you could please email me the Reflexology Papers as it says there is an admin error when I try to open? I would be eternally grateful.

Thank you 😀 x

Hi Jack's and welcome to Healthypages,

Just a post to say I'll look into those links that return an error message, and hopefully get them up and running again.:)

On behalf of the Moderating Team,

calla lily

PS: if you're wondering where your email address has gone, unfortunately these aren't permitted on the forums due to the risk of spammers etc picking them up.

Thai foot massage is a philosophy based on relationship between energy points on the feet and various internal organs and systems. Thai medicine considers feet to be a peculiar kind of root system of the body that needs correct caring.
