I have been asked by a client of mine to do Reflexology on her 11 year old daughter. She hopes it will help with the mood swings and stomach cramps that are just starting - no period as yet but obviously not far away.
I just wondered if anybody has got any tips or advice? I am thinking I will only do half an hour sessions concentrating on relaxation, pain reflief and the repo area but if anybody out there has got experience they could share that would be great.

I have worked on both my girls from since they were born. Having feet plonked in my lap and andthe phrase"just do it, Mum" have been part of our daily lives for the past 19 years! Neither have been plagued particularly with the usual puberty problems - both went on the Pill to regulate the pattern (and it also helped to reduce the heaviness) when they were about 15. I would say definately give it a shot for a few months.

There is no harm in treating an 11 year old. It would be quite safe to do the whole routine, except reproductive organs. But remember to keep less pressure than you normally would.
I am a great believer in reflexology and believe it`s great for any age group.
