Hi, i recently qualified and have a person wanting to come to me who is going through a Frozen Embyro cycle. I myself will be starting a FET in teh summer, so this is of personal interest as well. Would Reflexology be advisable during her cycle, if so at what times? Shoudl i not treat when she is on meds? Also what reflex points can anyone recommend and is there any to avoid? I will be doing some reseach of my own as this is a route i want to specialise in and i have to start somewhere, but would love to pick anyones brains on here.
many thanks,

RE: IVF Question (FET)
Hi there
The only advice I can give you i am afraid is from personal experience with a case study i am still doing. I am not yet qualified in reflexology but will be in Feb/March so I do know some bits but a qualified reflexologist may give you more advice.
This is what I did in my situation - which was not the same meds but similar .........my case study was on Clomid and I said I was uncomfortable treating her whilst on meds over that 5 day period. Prior to and after the meds I treated her. I stimulated her ovaries/fallopian tubes and uterus but did not overdo it. She is back on Clomid and I am due to treat her again on Sunday but she will be off it by then. I always say if in doubt don't treat. I am sorry I cannot help you further but when I qualify in maternity reflexology as well if I can find a course near me I will know more!! Some people don't treat at all whilst on meds some reflexologists say it can only help. Iwould seek GP advice or consultant before treating.
Best of luck
RE: IVF Question (FET)
I choose not to treat as soon as any fertility medication is started for IVF cycles. However Reflexology, including hormone balancing techniques, is recommended before treatment begins and between cycles.

RE: IVF Question (FET)
I think the decision to treat on not to treat is a personal decesion. This is all about intention and being sure within yourself of your own abilty and how comfortable you are with treating the client. And also how comfortable the clientn is with recieving the treament. If either you are uncomfortable dont treat. How if both of you want to do it then only good things can come out of it, hopefully a baby. I have recently finished treating a friend who is now having twins next month through IVF.
Treatment Style
Treatment every other week
Full treatment however pressure very very soft to the touch
200% intention of helping her to concieve
Use your intuition with regards to treatment if you feel you need to work in an area more than normal then do it.
Advised on foods to boost fertlity for both partners and stress relief techniques
I wish you all the best with your treatment
