Hi,
2 things really - am looking for something to use when I go to Las Vegas in September. Firstly I really don't like flying, so need something to take the anxiety away whilst at the airport (I'm ok once I'm in the air, but can't bare the couple of hours wait at the airport feeling like I need to loo every 10 mins - sorry if TMI ). Secondly I've never flown 11hrs in reused air (yuck) and want to try keeping my skin fresh, and possibly something to help me drift off a little.
I have heard that Lavender Oil may help to relax on the plane? But could do with a little advice from many of you who will actually know what your doing!
Thank you...................

hi
rescue remedy will help while you wait and EFT is invaluable.
Drink plenty of water and spritz your skin every hour to address dehydration

RE: Long Haul flight
Hi Blossom,
Long Haul flights are a right pain! I always take plenty of water with me on long flights and make sure that i take an aisle seat (if i can) so that i can get to the toilet easily. I also take a skin spritz (Avene from boots do a great one) and use this every few hours to keep my skin looking fresh. If your skin tends to dry out on flights, i would suggest taking a good quality moisturuiser on the plane with you and apply every few hours to keep your skin feelingsoft and comfortable. I would also try and avoid wearing any make-up while you are on the plane if you can.
Apart from that, just take a good book and try to relax, and the time will just fly by (sorry for the pun!)
Have a great time in Las Vegas you lucky devil!

I've deleted this as it's somehow reproduced below. 😉

Even the world's greatest explorer, Ranulph Fiennes, admits and in fact extolls the idea of taking a sleeping pill. Just one idea. Or a glass of wine 90 minutes before take-off?
AndI agree with the above - have your own water bottle as they never give you enough to drink on any flight. 😉
There's also DVT to think of: maybe you could be as lucky as me a few years ago. I was flying to Boston and expecting to get bored to tears. I just strolled around and ended up chatting to a male steward by the loos. I think he was even straight as he didn't want anything from me! [:-]- it was the best longish flight in my life as I spent almost all of it standing and talking to him, who told me all about Boston. Maybe you could strike it lucky with such a person too?

Why not do it right here and now? 😀
I was in many ways very disappointed in Boston. I had lived in London for many years, and found the famous and tourist-related areas to be very small! For example, there is a famed "lake" which has a big boat to take you across it. I stood there with the map, trying to figure out where this "lake" was, when I suddenly realised it was the pond at my feet, and the park was really tiny!
The food was dreadful too. You go for something like let us say "Greek" and it turns out just to be a few green leaves. Not even olives or olive oil.
What really is worth doing is the "whale watch". I thought that meant humans going out in a boat to watch whales, LOL. What actually happened is that this gigantic whale wanted to check us out. It rose right out of the water - half its body out of the water - and suddenly you had this eye looking right at you. I recomend that very much.
I was disappointed in the American sense of history ... there's a balcony from which the Declaration of Independence, or something like that, was shouted out from. So I went there. There is a plaque about it, but the whole building is now a subway station, and everyone was just running left and right to go to work. They thought it real wierd that I wanted to take a photo.
I might have encountered the "real" Boston when I returned on my way out of the USA. I was booked into what they call a B&B. Id really advise to do that. It was an amazing experience: I was the only guest, but it was in the suberbs, and basically the house was just huge, and the family carry on with their life with you a part of it. I forget what part of Boston it was - sorry - but it was so safe that they didn't even give me a doorkey, as they never locked the door! I felt in those two days that I was seeing the real Boston - so I'd advise getting a B&B online, and not a hotel.
Hope that all helps.
