I am trying to work on a couple of things at the moment. A swollen jaw which has an abscess on top from a previous surgery.
I have given one remedy for a few days which I have now stopped as it seems to be having an effect and I would rather leave it to work than over do it. This was one for the swollen jaw.
The abscess in the meantime is still getting larger and I would like to try to treat this but I don't want to undo what the original remedy is doing somehow. Would this happen or can I try to treat the abscess now too? It has been a couple of days since the last remedy.
Hi- when things get a bit complicated, the best thing to do would be to see a homeopath.
However, it is possible to get some good results from home prescribing, with simple, acute conditions. If you want to persevere, I would say that it's ok to try another remedy.
If you take into account that remedies are prescibed holistically, then you can realise that one remedy has the potential to affect more than one complaint. So, you're looking for a remedy that covers all the symptoms you have. The remedy you've just used, probably only covered some of them. So choose something that's as closely indicated as you can, take only one or two doses of it and wait and see what happens! It's not really the case of undoing what's been done. The way you are now, isn't dependent on medicine,(you've stopped the remedy anyway!), and it's not something that can be 'taken away' by further remedies.
Good luck! Hom
