I am just reading on another thread about Candle Massage, does anyone here do it? I had never heard of it before and I am interested as it sounds lovely.
The candles are made of shea butter with essential oils. You light the candle for about 20 minutes, when the client comes in they can see the lit candle and smell the beautiful oils.
When you are ready for massage you blow the flame out and pour the melted "wax" onto the client and massage with it.
I find it difficult to do a full body with the candle so tend to offer it as a back massage or a hand or foot massage.
A fab gimmick is to do a hand massage then as a grand finale blow the flame out and pour some of the "wax" onto the hands. I have seen people dip their fingers into the candle whilst the flame is still alight.
Eve Taylor and Gerards offer these.
Thanks Maychang. I love the sound of it.
have you ever attempted to make your own candles?
no I haven't funnily enough but there are companies out there, I have a friend who makes them and they are gorgeous.
