Just been searching online for hot and cold stones. What do you think of these? I have emailed them to ask where they are from.

It is a personal preference but I much prefer the look and feel on natural basalt stones compared to uniform shaped stones. .
The website below has some of these.

My own set of stones were from desert stone people based in America. For cold work I put a few of the stones in the fridge so I don't need a seperate set of marble stones.

Thank you. I'll check that out. I received a reply. The stones are from China so I guess they won't be very good. Thought the price was good.

They look like a set of lots of very small stones - the sausage shaped ones (UK sausage, not US sausage, are only 4inches at best, you compare the size of the rest of them, I think the pile of 8 in front of the 2 sausages maybe the usual toe stone size - very small, and the other 8 in that front row are mainly even smaller or a tiny bit larger (or maybe those 8 are the 'toe stones', either way that's a lot of tiny stones, you've got 6 cold ones about the same size - even more tiny stones! The ones to the left of the sausage stones look thicker than the ones in front, but not much larger - more tiny stones!!! Add the 7 chakra crystals (they are small too), that's 37 out of 68 stones are really small. You're basically paying for the remaining 31 stones, which aren't that big either.

Carved sets like that don't actually offer you much variety in shapes (and this one there isn't much variety in the size of the smaller stones) Carved can sometimes be OK, but a whole carved set limits you. I have natural AND carved. It could be a place to start and you add to it, or you could just go natural and avoid all the under paid labour etc concerns from someting carved in China and got for a much more expensive natural stone option. The conditions these are carved in, I would imagine, would be pretty horrible with all the dust..It would make the Foxconn Apple issues look like nothing!
