Hi
Can anyone give me pointers on how to use EFT with children?
Thanks
RE: Using EFT with children
Well I'm assuming you already know the basics of using EFT for adults/yourself.
Essentially you just do the same thing, but with kids you probably want to turn it into a game for them so that they want to do it. (depends on the age of the kids)
Also try and use wording that makes sense to them. Remember EFT works best when the wording is in the clients own words, so with kids it needs to be in a language they understand. e.g. don't use "...., I deeply and completely accept myself" but rather "...., I'm cool" or "...., my mummy loves me" (if the issue relates to the child having an issue where they think their mum won't love them any other way).
If they're very young you can show them how to do it on a teddy bear or something first and then start to tap on yourself and get the kid to follow.
Hope that helps

RE: Using EFT with children
I've used it with my nephew aged 7 for bed-wetting and it worked. I think I tapped him and then he tapped himself. He liked saying "I lurve myself etc" but that was just him! They like:it's cosy, they get your 100% attention, and it's fun.
RE: Using EFT with children
children love eft especially if you say it is a special way to help them,
using a teddy bear or doll helps to break the ice also.
get the parent and child to tap with you in the session, the child will follow the parent in doing this and also it clears the parents attatchment to the outcome, also clears teh parents anxiety or fears which could be projected ointo the child.
once learned the parent can help the child at home

Thanks guys - some good ideas I'll be using
RE: Using EFT with children
With very young children of course you can gently tap the points for them when they are upset or anxious.
Another great way to apply EFT with young children is to ask them about their day at bed time, and as they talk about the good things and bad, gently tap on each of the points. By doing this you will be clearing any negative emotions and helping them come to terms with the bad things that have happened, and make it less likely for these issues to be a problem when they are adults.
