Hi there,
I am pretty new to this EFT stuff, half way reading through the manual.
I was wondering if anyone on this forum has overcome stuttering using EFT?
RE: I have a stuttering problem, can EFT help me overcome it?
Not personally, but EFT has been shown to be very good at helping with stuttering or lisps.
Look at how the stuttering manifests itself to you. Is it always with certain words or with certain letters or sounds? Is it more prominent in certain situations i.e. when you are talking to people you don't know or when you are under a lot of pressure? If so what are the underlying issues surrounding these situations.
Start tapping on the general specifics about how it manifests itself and see how that helps then, if you need to, try working on the issues of the situations in which you tend to stutter more.
If you'd like to talk through this with me in more detail, please feel free to email me, I'm always happy to help.

RE: I have a stuttering problem, can EFT help me overcome it?
One of my very first cases when I started using EFT was a stuttering friend. It overcame the issue pretty quickly and was down to a feeling of inadequacy during a job interview over the phone. He really didn't think that he should be applying for the job and then felt inadequate pretty much all the time after that (he got the job but all the time felt he would be found out that he wasn't good enough).
We managed to map it out and then tap for the feelings.
His girlfriend then commented later that day that he had spoken about how amazing EFT was with her for 4 hours and only stuttered once. Normally it would have been constant.
So, I would say go for it. IMHO, it does work if you can find the cause for the issue.
(I haven't tried just tapping without the mapping for stuttering with anyone else.)

RE: I have a stuttering problem, can EFT help me overcome it?
The following situations are common triggers for stuttering:
-Being away from safety of being by themselves at home
-Finding the atmosphere 'tense' or 'serious'
-Being under the pressure to finish what they have to say. Having to 'hurry up!'
-Reading out loud in front of a group
-Speaking to anyone at all/anyone in authority/anyone of the opposite sex
-Ordering in a restaurant, or asking a shop assistant for help.
-Making a phone call or answering a telephone
As a person growing up, you build up a lot of limiting beliefs of yourself. Some of beliefs are outlined here.
"It is not OK to stutter"
"I fear being rejected"
"Others expect me to stutter"
"I feel hurt (not validated)"
"I don't measure up"
"I feel isolated from others"
"My life is out of control"
"I cannot speak"
"I am 'less than'"
"I look foolish"
"I am going to attract attention"
"I must conceal my emotions"
"What people say about me becomes truth"
"I must protect myself from being hurt by others"
"I will not let them see me struggle"
"I will not give others the chance to laugh at me"
"I will avoid situations that expose vulnurabilities"
"I am scared of speaking in public"
"I am flawed, inadequate, a 'stutterer', worthless, insecure, timid, anxious, tense, shamed, not enough"
As you can see, a stuttering mentality usually has a strong hold on one's life.
