Please could someone help me??
I am very interested in learning about Crystal Therapy, and perhaps becoming a therapist one day.
I would like to get some books on crystals and just wondered what ones people would recommend, because how do you know which ones are true with the correct information?
Many Thanks
Dawn
Hi dawn
I have a few 🙂
My personal favs are Crystal power Crystal healing - Micheal Geiger..being a geologist he gives information on the formation of them as well as the metaphysical properties. He also has a very small starter book out which gives good to the point info, retails about 4.99 at present.
The Book of Stones - Robert Symmons and Naisha Ahsian is a huge book, I feel gives accurate information, from two peoples perspective per crystal. It is expensive, fortunatley I got mine from a MBS fayre at half price but had been looking out for it for a while. Naisha Ashian does a great Crystal Ally deck with book which is great, although sometimes I feel those cards meanings are perhaps a bit off the normal track, however, if I pull them they are usually relevant at the time
Crystal Healing. The complete Practitioners Guide - Hazel Raven. I think its a guide book she uses in her Crystal Therapy course.who is quite a respected metaphysical teacher..again an expensive book, but I managed to snap it as an e bay bargain a couple of years ago.
Hope that helps and just doesnt add to your confusion, can be a minefield can't it....you could try amazon and see if there are any other recommendations for those titles, sometimes you can see the inside of the pages for a synopsis on Amazon as well....
Thanks for your reply Fleur.
Have you read any of Judy Hall's books? She seems to have quite a few!
Many Thanks
Dawn
I have a number of books by Melody "Love is in the Earth", which has a lot of information in it. The Crystal Ally Cards by Naisha Ahsian which I really enjoy, Healing with Crystals and Chakra Energies by Sue and Simon Lilly, which is a charity shop purchase and is broader based than crystals working with other modalities of subtle healing including colour healing and chakra healing. Judy Hall's Crystal Bible which is easy to put in your pocket when you are going to seek out new crystals. I also have Gurudas book on Vibrational Medicine called Gem Elixars and Vibrational Healing, which has a lot of interesting info in it if you want to get into making gem remedies.

Hi
Along with the books mentioned by fleur and the Crystal Ally cards I'd also include Simon and Sue Lilly's The Essential Crystal Handbook, actually smaller than Judy Hall's book and I think more useful as it includes useful mineralogical info. In fact there are two or three of their books that are great, including the one mentioned by Binah and Sue's Crystal Decoder (Astrology and crystals). For lovely pics as well there is also Cassandra Eason's Illustrated Crystal (?) Encyclopaedia, although the photography in The book of Stones is wonderful.
Crystals
Hello Earthbabe,
:newangel::newangel:Relining on the crystal's is a time that will bring about the essences of the individual balance such as the ways that you can bring about the forms of intellectual creations of you light, relying on crystals can be looked at is at the nature that is brought to the creative standing of individual creations the passing of crystals is sometime's relining of your individual instince. Now looking how someones creative intellectual pursiuts relate to looking at the ways you are able to bring together the essences of times or likeness of you view to create a place where you can bring about the changes....So to birth what that is needed to surcome what you are looking for to bring about the change so to guide others A good book that where you can see birthsigns and crystal relate is the ways that you begin to use the flow of the outer and inner forms of likeness of ways you can be creative..Gypsy
The Crystal Healer by Philip Permutt this has crystals grouped by colur in case you are unsure of what crystals you have!
I've found that the best way to get books on crystals is to flick through them and see if they resonate with you - just like buying crystals!
Thanks for all the replies!
I was just getting so confused, and wanted to know that whichever books I choose , the information in them is correct.
xx 🙂
try doing a search for 'collecting crystals made easy'. It give a clear and simple explanation of crystals along with pictures of the crystals.

Crystal books are only guides to help us start out in getting to feel crystal energies. Crystal healing is more an art guided by our intuition than a science.
So for example, rose quartz may traditionally be considered excellent for healing the heart of emotional distress. But no two pieces have exactly the same effect - there are subtle differences. For example, in its raw massive form it can be great for bring a loving atmosphere to a room, whilst the rarer terminated form can be bring about painfully intense healing that can be overwhelming if a person isn't strong enough to cope. Developing your intuition (an art) will guide you as to what is appropriate to work with at a particular stage.
I'd recommend for anyone starting out to buy The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall. The main reason for this is that it has great pictures making stones easy to identify and it's inexpensive. I disagree with some of what Judy says but she's only expressing her opinion, which is what I do when I argue back at her in the comfort of my home!
Explore other books once you've got comfortable foundations and be willing to disagree with what the published author says. You're developing a relationship with your stones and they will tell you what you need to know. However, being logical creatures as we are we need to have thoughtful discussions to help us develop our viewpoints.
The reason for getting familiar with the pictures is so that you can start developing your own guidance from within. Pick up a stone in a shop, identify what it is by pictures, read what one author says and then consider what you think.
Most people think that stones do the work because they are such and such a named mineral and that every stone will do the same. It's not that straightfoward. Crystal healing gets more powerful and effective when we work with our own intent. To harness our intent it helps to ask ourselves what we feel.
I wish you hours of joy and fun in playing with your new crystal friends!
