Amazonite is a blue green crystal sometimes found in the River Amazon where it gets its name, but can be found in Colorado, Russia and Madagascar.
On a physical level. Sometimes, when you have been on the long haul, you have to have the stamina to keep trotting at a steady pace, but then, the steam runs out, you collapse in a heap, the body needs time to recover, and you find you might become ill

The thymus which makes the T cells, the bodys own anti body defence is working hard to boost your immunity to fight any bugs, viruses, bacteria that have got a grip while in that weakened state. Amazonite vibrates to the area of the thymus gland.
On a metaphysical Level. The blue green colour links helps clear the channel from the heart to the throat Chakra, a great immune booster and calms stressful nerves. Sometimes blockages form in that channel due to repressed words or frozen emotions, and Amazonite, like its name sake can clear the dam and allow the river of loving communication to flow again from the heart to the throat, where words will form and express with ease. It can also speak volumes from the Self to the ego thereby helps you to discover the Amazon Warrior to walk your own talk, and speak your own personal truth, with balanced emotions, not a torrential river. Sometimes it can be tricky to speak your own truth, but you yourself, are the only person in all the world that has the ability, the right, and the duty to so, if you dont who will??? Amazonite is the talking stone.....a bit like the talking stick of the native Indian traditions.

I haven't visited Healthypages for a while, and the first thing I zoned in on was the crystals section and your post!:)
Such synchronicity, because I've been doing a bit of energy work on my thymus chakra and some meditation with Amazonite, doing some reading about the thymus gland and the chakra, these past few days! 🙂
I find this quite a physically strengthening stone, probably because of its master immune qualities. It also does seem to energize the thymus chakra, in quite a solid fashion (as opposed to the kind of energy that can flip flop out).
In his book 'Your body doesn't lie' John Diamond describes the thymus as the 'master' gland that "monitors and regulates the flow of life energy in the meridian system," and proposes that by activating and balancing the thymus, we can keep our life energy at high levels!
Any crystal that can help with that is a definite plus I feel!

and interesting to note that the thymus Chakra is linked with thyme essential oil, I have had cause to use that lately, which is a very unusual oil for me, and I quite often feel the need to tap that area....must need some stumulus for some reason.perhaps the guides and inspirers are trying to get my attention....probably weary of me not listening and poking me in another way

You are doing the thymus thump (that's the real term for it not mine!) intuitively! Wonderful!
I feel that my life energy is often lower at this time of year, so the thymus thump comes in very handy along with the crystals and meditation, which has to be a plus for the immune system as well as the balance of our life energy and energy body.
I hadn't considered the thyme oil, I must add that to the thymus repertoire! Lol.:)
