Ive been doing a bit of research on Pyrite.....fools gold and here a few of the most interesting points, along with some of my thoughts/feelings.
The name pyrite comes from the Greek word for fire because when two strike against each other they cause a spark. A very Yang crystal and utilizing its energies it can help us to alight our own inner fire at the solar plexus chakra. Coming from the yellow / gold colour ray it energises like the golden sun...... It enhances will power, courage and determination to deal with challenges and help support overcoming bad habits.....
At the end of an early morning meditation session. Where it might be the norm to use haemetite or smoky quartz to ground ourselves, a beautiful alternative is to hold pyrite to energise, to give that energetic spark to start the day.
When tired and unable to take a sleep, perhaps during the night when baby needs attention, or long car journeys when tiredness takes hold, holding pyrite and imagine the suns rays coming from it can give an instant boost.
It increases clarity and good for gathering together scattered thoughts when studying......or when too many things need your attention, and will help prioritise and focus. The obvious cubic formation reminds me of little ideas all over the place that need reigning in, and they look like they are ittle cubes attached to a magnet...ideas to the brain.
If a person is too yin in nature....lethargic, subservient, dreamy, the fire of Pyrite will ignite a glow and inner warmth for action, willpower and energy. Very focused crystal and will aim straight and true for the root of any physical emotional mental disharmony. Stabilises the aura when working in dangerous situations.
Because of the Sulphur content, it cannot be used direct next to the skin as it can cause irritation but its energies can be used in a pouch, or the flecks in Lapiz Lazuli are pyrite, and would be good in a pendant. The sulphur content also lends itself to being a good detoxing aid for the stomach.
I link it with the Emperor in the tarot card....masculine willpower, and can quickly establish clear orderly mind, we only have to ask---along with fearlessness and courage of the Strength card.
and even though we think Fools Gold is a false gold.....the Pirates knew where they hid their treasures.....and if you carry Pyrite.....the real treasure won't be far away..in whatever form it takes. 😉
Thanks Fleur, I loved the way you kinda married Pryrite to the Emporer and Strength...I've not been drawn to Pyrite much before but your post has put me in the mood to go and 'fish it out' of my top draw (full of bit and bobs:rolleyes:)

Very interesting post Fleur, might I also add that it is unsafe to add to water, if a tincture is to be made from it - place it in a glass before adding to a jug of water, do not allow the water to seep over the top of the jug.
Blessings

thankyou purple hat, I didnt know that 🙂
I am making myself some data sheets based on personal experience and feelings....
Becasue of the mirror type flat surface of the crystalline structure and my linking with the Emperor.....I think it would also make a very good protector and shield for guarding and strengthing the aura,, reflect away any negative influences...
