Why is it when I cleanse my crystals I dont feel anything and yet when my friend does his I can totaly feel the difference, and why is it that I have to be in contact with someone who is in tune with their hobby ie: Reiki or magick to actually feel something,almost like they are sharing that energy with me. I know all these wonderful energies in reiki are there but I feel like there is a wall between me and it, i guess you could say i feel numb to it.
I'm sorry if i seem negative about all this, I'm a very optimistic person with regards to life but I'm bitter about why everyone else can feel stuff but yet i cant (at least not all the time)

I have to admit I very rarely feel anything when I do Reiki, spiritual healing, crystals... when I do it is truly mind-blowing. I have come to accept this, and sometimes feel it's more of a blessing.
My friend Ruth "sees dead people". Now when she is with me and points them out I can see them: but when I'm not with her I only see a movement in the corner of my eye, or a whisper of the wind. No matter - if I'm meant to see I will see.
Have you been attuned to Reiki yet?
Maybe you're trying too hard ?
I found I often still 'need' the confirmation of a third party's experiences before I could accept my own abilities.
It took me a very long time to be able to accept that I could harness energies myself (without someone else helping) but once I realised it wouldn't always 'happen' when or how I expected it to, I seemed to become more fluent and positive with my channeling.
I find that if your intentionality is directed towards 'hoping something will happen' the energies you pick up are 'needy' whereas if you just open yourself to what is there the energies you receive are more fluid and directable......
I understand what you mean, I did my Reiki 1 about 18 months ago and still don't feel ready to do my Reiki 2 although I would really like to. I feel as though I need to 'feel something' to know I'm doing things right before going any further.
