Hi, there! I graduated from uni. I am thinking to go on a postgraduate course to become a councellar. Which schools/colleges within the London area would be recommended for study? I want to work in London as councellar in the future if I can. Many thanks!
Make sure the course is accredited
Although I understand that the number of counselling courses is decreasing there is still probably an oversupply. You need to think about who will pay for your services when you qualify. This means going on a course that gives you some form of accreditation. The british Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP is probably the first place to check out for accredited courses. If your degree is in Psychology then clinical or counselling psychology are possible routes
