I'm a Chartered Physiotherapist and a Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist - I trained in acupuncture through the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy course which is now run as an MSc in Coventry. I would imagine that most of the others that I trained with only have the chance of using acupuncture for pain relief due to insurance issues within the NHS but because I am in private practice I have been able to incorporate TCM diagnosis and treatment when necessary - my special interest is the field of gynae and and infertility. The results on gynae problems amaze my patients and there have been some successes with infertility as well. This is the first forum that I have found where I may be able to discuss TCM - not many physios train and use the TCM approach so the mainstream physio/acupuncture interactive forums don't tend to accomodate it. (You just get constant questions like 'my patient says they are depressed, what points can I add while I treat their shoulder?)
