Hi wondering if any of you can help
last year went to a holistic healing event and there was an accupuncturist there who gave a talk and a litle demonstration ( she couldn't do full accupuncture because of health checks etc )
she showed all the differing lengths of needles etc and then she showed us a small round stick which she called "moxy"
she lit it and then blew it out much like incense sticks
the aroma was exquisit and I have been searching for it for ages but cannot seem to find it --- even a web search doesn't help.
she also said that the stick was very good for people who felt the cold and she demonstrated by asking for anyone whe felt the cold to come forward
a couple did and then she just held the stick near the back of their hands
after a while she asked how they were and the both said they felt a lot warmer
can anyone tell me what this stick was and where I could posibly buy some ?

Moxibition is usually done by a wormwood cigars, though there are 100%
charcoal cigars. She was probably using some special non-traditional moxa
cigar.

she was doing moxibustion which is something we do all the time in Chinese medicine. The cigar is usually made or mugwort and they can be of different prices according to the quality. You can find the stuff as a punk and cones too. Funny you like the smell because most of people don't.
You need to google moxa sticks...not moxy...might have more luck...
