Having completed a degree in acupuncture last year (at Glyndwr uni in Wrexham) - I have to say I'm totally FED UP with ALL courses, catch ups, Tuina, cosmetic whatever - all of them - being in LONDON.
Does anyone run a course near Wrexham? I don't make enough money to stay in a hotel in london AND pay up to £500 for a weekend course!!
Even my own college (Glyndwr) has courses and ONLY lets the present students take part!!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..................
Well, we run our Practical Courses in Cambridge and Maidenhead:p.
We plan to open a Centre in the Wye Valley (bit nearer to you) at some stage............

Hi Ginger
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with courses. Living in West Cornwall everywhere is hard to travel.
Have you tried . They do courses of interest to acupuncturists and are a bit nearer to you.
Best Wishes

i second that!!! i start my acupuncture with Maria at Bodyharmonics in 5 weeks! can't wait, soon to be fully tooled up!:D
the environment is second to none, very relaxed and interactive.
Would York be closer to you and easier to get to?
The college there runs a lot of CPD courses - may be worth checking out.
Hi Ginger,
I'm hoping to move back to North Wales soon and i'm looking at doing the course you've just completed, I'd really appreciate any feedback from you, what qualifications did you have before you stared?, what did you think of the course? etc etc etc. I know how frustrating it is trying to get the courses you really want sometimes, I've wanted to do acupuncture for years, but living in Devon makes it impossible as the closest I've come across is in Bristol :(!
Did you apply for a grant when you did the course, i know it's expensive! I have spoken with Glyndwr but it's always nice to hear from someone who has experienced the course. Good luck with your search

Hi I'm with you on that one. I have trained with the Coaching Academy for years and every time there is a course on I have to drive from Newcastle to Bucks, its a killer. It leaves me knackered for days after. Aly
