I've posted this here but it's not actually a spiritual post. Just to let people know that in the depths of leafy Wimbledon there is a beautiful Thai Temple - walking into this enclosed area is just like being in Thailand. The atmosphere is electric. We went yesterday to observe the Loy Kratong festival which is similar to the Diwali festival of light. You light your floating "kratong" which is like a floating lotus and it sails slowly around the lake. The temple is an exact replica of one of the many you'll see in Thailand. log on to the website for further information. It is really worth a visit.
My family and I try to visit the temple at least twice a year and it is often best to go in the week when it is fairly quiet and you can sit quietly and meditate.

RE: Thai Temple at Wimbledon
Thanks for this - I' teach at Parkside Hosp every Monday and I'll definitely have a look. It seems lovely.
