Hi all,

I started reading about Chakra, but I guess that there is a relation between it and the Buddhism religion ...

I saw how to open some chakra points of the body, and the signs and action are somehow like what buddha used to do ( I guess)

So if someone can enlighten me , if there is such a relation between them .. and if so how they are related ??

thanks all 🙂

Have you heard of explorers finding little monks found on top of snow covered mountains with puddles of water around them where it's melted?

There is a meditation practice that monks can train to do to generate heat. In fact when they practice this meditation technique they have monks put blankets that were soaked in iced water on their back which they need to dry from the heat they generate

this meditation is done on the chakras

RE: Is there a relation bt Buddhism and Chakra?

In discussions with orthodox Buddhists it appears that they do not embrace/give recognition to chakra's.
You will not find any mention of chakra's in many of the Buddhist Sutra's or spiritual texts. The Buddhists that I have spoken to perceive chakra's as a very new age thing although of course their original discovery was in India pre the modern age.

However, like all philosophy there is many different branches and it appears that Zen Buddhism is just one of the streams of Buddhism that does not embrace but Tantric and Tibetan Buddhism appears to embrace. I am no expert on the different streams of Buddhism. The best place to investigate this further for free would be on a Buddhist forum, as to the best of my knowledge we do not have an expert Buddhist on HP.

Here is another view entirely.

I view the chakra system as guided to do, related to levels of consciousness which is not unsimilar to the Yogic view.
