RE: Tell me about your town/area

Yes that is a major consideration I agree. At the moment it is pie in the sky anyway, since neither of us know what is likely to happen. Any decision we do make willl probably be out off until the new year then. The other option is of course a mobile home, which may well be worth considering. A friend of ours from church lives in one not far from where we are, keep meaning to ask her about them, but haven;t got round to it yet.

If anyone on here lives in one, how do you find it? Is it something you would recommend?

I recently moved to Tucson, Arizona to attend grad school down here. I'm not too far from the Saguaro National park. I went hiking in part of the park today, and it is quite beautiful. It's like walking in a giant cacti garden.

RE: Tell me about your town/area

We are also looking to moving by August next year. Things seem to be 'falling' into place so I take that as a sign from the Universe that we are on the right track!.
We live in a small town called Stanford-le-Hope in Essex. We have lived here for 18 yrs and chose this house because it is in the same road as the local infant/junior/ Senior schools! We are on a main bus route to Basildon and beyond and Lakeside and beyond. We have our own station which goes to Southend and Fenchurch street so London is 45 mins away. It is quite green with a small shopping centre up the road in Corringham. We can see the Thames from our bedroom window (just!).
There is a strong community group called the Hope Committee of which I was Vice-chair( but no longer) but has been around for 8 years now and made a real difference in the town. We hold an annual Music and Street festival in the first weekend in July.

We are looking to moving to Taunton in Somerset. My husband's contract finishes in March next year and my youngest daughter will have finished her GCSE's by May. I am a self-employed Reiki Practitioner so we will have nothing to tie us to this area (well, family but Somerset is not that far away!).

House prices range a lot here from £160,000 to £260,00, depending on what you are looking for.

Love and light
