this afternoon I have been on the phone to my sister, we are trying to get rail travel for me and my daughter who is 13 to go to see my sister who lives in bristol. up to now with our family and friends card we have it down to £57.75 return we live near Darlington and we are going to change at Birmingham. that is return for the two of us, she is on checking to see if they can get it any lower. we are travelling offpeak.
it is unbelievable how cheap you can get it, last year I thought the air travel was cheap at £70 return for two of us.
so has any body else got their train fares cheaper than this for the same distance
