My ex-workplace used to book in at the Copthorne Hotel when going to Navy Days. It's a nice 4-star hotel. I also have a soft spot for the Royal Fleet Hotel as they used to advertise with us:

With Naval connections dating back to 1853, this historic Plymouth hotel also has very strong Naval links, and this history and tradition still remain in place.

Hi Myarka

The Copthorne Hotel is very central. In fact it's in the middle of the city centre, about half way between the bus station and the rail station.
