Just spent a lovely day in Dorset, with OH, visiting Dancing Ledge.
The 'Ledge' is a flat area of rock at the base of a small cliff (a little scrambling is required for access, and scramble down I did). There is a small swimming pool there which was blasted into the rock for the use of local preparatory schools sometime near the beginning of the twentieth century. There are also ammonites (fosssils) in the rocks which are quite impressive.
It's well worth a visit if you're in that area. Here are a few pictures taken today:-
My days of scrambling are over but looking at those beautiful photo's I think that it would be worth it. It looks such a lovely place to be instead of being at work staring at the pouring rain that we have got here today.
Thank you so much Moonfairy for sharing them with us

Hi Moonfairy......Are you sure 'D ' didn't give you a 'firemans carry' over those rocks ?....It sure looks beautiful, there, in that cove.!!......it looks quite excluded though

Thank you so much Moonfairy for sharing them with us.
You are very welcome Cis. So glad you liked the piccies. Here's a couple more. The first one is where I actually scramlbed down. And No Oakapple, D didn't carry me, he waited at the bottom to catch me in case I fell. :):) A real gentleman.;)
Wonderful pics! Did you have to climb back up or was there another way round? Looks like a great area to walk.
No, I had to climb back up the same way. I managed it quite easily though.:)
It is a great rock-climbing area there, as you can imagine. Yes Serenwen there is a great coastal walk along the top - Durdle Door is nearby and also Lulworth Cove.
More pictures (so glad you liked them). The first one is of the local inhabitants of a rock pool, which I am always fascinated by.;)2nd picture is just above where I clambered down. 3rd picture is Moonfairy on the way back to the car, trotting along the lane, with a wonderful view ahead.:):)
