Hi!!!I am About to enroll on "The London Therapists" A&P online course.Has anybody ever heard of this school? is it a good one?
After that I'm going to enroll on the "Swedish massage course" with "Therapy Training School" in London.
What about that?
I am an Italian girl moving to London ,just wanted some advice.
I already have a Diploma in Holistic Massage but it's not valid in the UK,so i'll have to start all over again.:(

Who says your diploma is not valid in the UK?

There is no law to stop you from working privately. And there is no organisation that can say that your diploma is not valid for the UK.

Whether any clinic will actually give you a job is another matter.

Hi everyone

Firstly, thank you all for a very warm welcome.

I have begun studying VTCT Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies, must say a good Biology refresher:)

Will begin the VTCT in Swedish Massage over the next couple of weeks.

Hope in the near future to explore Head Massage, Tibetan and Indian.

I am sure I will be back here soon for some valuable advice.

Not studied as much as some of you, but this is what I've started with:

NVQ/VTCT Level 3 Beauty Therapy (Massage route)

It includes massage (including mechanical eg. G5, audiosonic, infrared), hot stones, body electricals (eg. vaccuum suction, farradic, galvanic, microcurrent), pre blended aromatherapy, indian head massage.

Not sure what I'll be doing in September (other than "something else", as I dont feel that's enough to get me into practise on my own) but this is one option:
[DLMURL] http://www.leedscitycollege.ac.uk/courses/index.php/241/complementary-and-alternative-therapies/ [/DLMURL]

...having said that, I'll have already done the massage, and anat and phys parts (according to my tutor they're the same, although it looks like they go into more depth when you read the info)...

Any suggestions for local courses appreciated.

Hi all
I've just finished the VTCT Diploma in A&P and just started the VTCT diploma in Complementary Therapies. Doing my 1st degree Reiki this month as well 🙂

Longer term plan is to look at specialising in therapies during pregnancy.
