Is anyone sitting for the above Exam. We were told at College that we will be having a multiple choice exam for VTCT Reflexology. When I spoke to VTCT about this particular exam, they said there were no written exams, the only exam we had to sit for was the M2/M74 (which we did beg.of March).
RE: Reflexology VTCT Exam
We did a Reflexology multiple choice, but that was for the Advanced VTCT Diploma. Can't really remember the questions, but they were as ambiguous as the M2/M74, and not really relevant to being a competent therapist in my opinion! Revision didn't help.
When have you got to do the exam?
RE: Reflexology VTCT Exam
we have the exam in June. I went to the Prof. Beauty Show a couple of Sundays ago and visited the VTCT Stall. Asked about past exam papers on Reflexology and she said that the only requirement was the M2/M74 exam which I did beg. March. Asked her about the VTCT Reflexology Exam and she said there wasn't one, who is the College kidding us.
RE: Reflexology VTCT Exam
Are they nuts?! Why do they tell you there's no exam and yet at our college we had to do two written exams, no multiple choice!
Sigh... I don't know, they're all over the place!
RE: Reflexology VTCT Exam
hi panicky,
i too am studying the refelexology and we too have been told there is no written exam as most is covered through our assignments. we have however been told that the vtct holistic therapies exam will cover the reflexology. this will be a multiple choice questions exam [:o]
hope this is of some help

RE: Reflexology VTCT Exam
I unserstand that there is a multiple choice exam for M74/M2 on the Certificate of Reflexology level 3 and that his just covers treatment of the feet
The level 3 diploma which can be taken after the certificate has an exam on M102 and a&p the course includes case studies and treatment of hands ears other therapies and counselling skills - Can any one tell me how many hours you are being taught on these courses as there seems to be a lot of variation across the country which probably accounts for some of the comments
RE: Reflexology VTCT Exam
Hmmm, this gets stranger. I have done a VCTC Diploma in Reflexology (A465) for which I attended a 3 hour class every week, did 6 private cases studies 6 times, plus public clinic case studies and lots of written work. I submitted a portfolio at the end, but there were NO EXAMS at all.
The FHT insure me to practice professional with this qualification, but I just can't understand why some people are having to do exams but I didn't.
I would be grateful if anyone could shed light on this.

RE: Reflexology VTCT Exam
Lucy,
How long ago was this. The exams were only introduced by VTCT during the past year or so.

RE: Reflexology VTCT Exam
Hi Lesley,
I studied Reflexology at college Jan - Dec 03, so it was really recent! I studied it at Cardonald College, which is one of the major colleges in Glasgow, and I think they are fairly well regarded in this sort of field, they certainly have some excellent and well known teachers. Isn't this strange?

RE: Reflexology VTCT Exam
There was a changeover period where you could take either an A coded or C coded exam (but can't remember which was which!)

To Panicky
I think that VTCT change things around alot. When I did my Reflexology
course (2002) it was stated that VTCT did not require you to sit an exam as the course was continual assesment and we did loads of assignments and tests troughout the year and of course the case studies. However we did sit an exam at the end but that was set as extra by the college just to make sure we knew our stuff,,but it was not marked by VTCT. So maybe the exam is set by your college too.
We didn't do a specific M2/M74 exam but we were given questions on this incorporated into the tests we had. Like I say I think they just keep changing their minds.
