Hello nic6576 and welcome to Healthypages
I can't help with your assignment, I'm afraid, but I've moved your post over to the Student/Training forum, where hopefully your queries will be answered.
If you have any questions regarding actual use of the forum, please don't hesitate to ask.
Which meridians are mostly used when carrying out scalp acupressure? Why would people with sinusitis also experiance toothache? Why would people with an U.T.I also experience a headache? They dont give the full information in the lesson and my head is now officially battered!!!!
Not sure but the number two question: If the sinuses are full of fluids this weight and inflammation can put pressure on the teeth causing them to ache. The pain also goes to your jaw and cheeks too.
p.s what course are you doing??
Hi there, thank you so much for your reply, im doing BSY home study course in acupressure and the information they send to you is very limited in this particular assignment. once again many thanks xx
hi there nic6576 i know this isn't really relevent but could you tell me if the bsy course in acupressure your doing is any good and is it a recognised course? cheers .polly
It depends on what course you are doing. You might like to read about spinal innervation as this can have an effect on the nerves feeding the sinuses / teeth.
Have they provided you with an accurate meridian chart?

This contains some of the meridians and will answer the question on the head / meridians for you.
Not 100% sure about the headache / UTI thing, but it may be linked to hydration.
Hi there, many thanks for your post il def read up on spinal website you gave, they gave a meridian chart way back in the start of the course but it was more like a list of meridian names and where they flow, they havent listed any to do with scalp acupressure, which isnt helping me one bit but hopefully the website you recommended may shed some light!
Thank you xx
Hi there, im also doing a nutrition course (homestudy)with the BSY which is great, as nutrition is more theory than hands on anyway, however i personally am regreting the acupressre course as i feel it would be much better to take as a "hands on course" rather than study it at home and the information they give you is very basic hence me spending ages trawling books and the internet for more info, however that is just my opinion someone else may disagree with me.
But thank you for your post xx
HI all,
seasons reetings,
there has been much debate about the BSY group and the quality of their courses plus information about them being recgnised by insurance companies and awarding bodies, it may benefityou to use search box and find out some info before proceeding with further study.
I appreciate they are convenient courses to fit in round a busy lifestyle, i have had bsy graduates on a selection of courses i contribute to and i must say that from personal experience, the level of learning and subject information has not been of the highest quality.
horses for courses though and any form of personal development must be a good thing.
regards

nic6576, have you read the thread that's pinned to the top of this forum, titled 'All about correspondence courses'?
Another thing you could do is to use Search, with British School Yoga as your search term, and search on All Forums from the drop down menu. You will find quite a lot of threads on them, right across the boards.
You will need to type in the whole words, as I've typed them in the above paragraph, since the search facility unfortunately rejects words shorter than four letters, and BSY is only three.
Hope this helps.
