The guru of Indian Head Massage (Champissage) Narendra Mehta passed away in India on the 1st of February. I was blessed to have trained with him at the LCICI, and will treasure all he taught me. His passing is an enormous loss to the holistics field. A very special man and a truly gifted teacher.

I did meet him once and had a chat at the MBS festival in London, and had my feet worked on by his wife.

Always sad to hear about a pioneer passing on 🙁 But I doubt IHM would be as popular and well known in the UK without him 🙂

How very very sad.

We perhaps haven't creditted Mr Mehta for all he has done for the massage industry, he was the father of Indian head massage as we know it in the UK.

Although I didn't train with Narendra Mehta he taught my teacher and the training that he passed onto her was brillant, I felt as if he had taught me. What a great loss to the world of massage my love goes to his wife and family.

Very sad news, as RP said I also met him at MBS festival and he was a lovely, warm gentleman. He will be sadly missed.

Wonderful memories of a few days in the Buddhist Centre in Caerphilly [South Wales] learning Champissage with Narendra and Kundan a couple of years ago. An experience that I will treasure throughout my life.
So sad to hear the news. My thoughts are with Kundan and with the family.
