I can't decide if I'm stupid or if the answers are so easy I'm over looking them.
More M2 & M74 homework help needed. I've looked through as many previous posts as I can looking for help or answers but to no avail. Hence a new thread.
Ok my M2, M74 work package was supposed to be in YESTERDAY! I have been granted and extra week but only because my tutor knows I had a kid off school sick last week. I'm not counting on getting another extension or having the other kid coming down sick, so I'm here begging for help!
I'll type out all the questions and if anyones feeling sorry enough for me they can give me answers, ideas or links that may help. Please don't bother with the HSE link as I've already spent the best part of two hours trawling it to no avail.
Task 1
What guideline would you follow to ensure the security of the following inside and outside of working hours:
The Salon. (5 answers needed)
Stock. (2)
Equipment. (2)
Records. (2)
Money/takings. (4)
Personal belongings - therapist (2)
Personal belongings - client (2)
Task 2
2) Why is it important to keep a record of any contra indications established and how will this affect your treatment liability insurance?
I seem to have a mental block with this now and no-one else has been forthcoming with any help ... not even my tutor or my best friend who has already passed her H & S!
I need to hand this in by Friday 18th March .... or my kids will ground me!

RE: Maybe I'm just stupid ......
What guideline would you follow to ensure the security of the following inside and outside of working hours:
The Salon - Keep personal belongings locked, Premises alarmed outside working hours, CCTV camera, Shutters on windows/doors, someone always on reception area, Ask staff to stay alert and vigilant during working hours
Stock - Regular stock taking, stock locked away, only a few members of staff have access
Equipment - Locked away after working hours, CCTV cameras
Records - Locked away, Accessible only by the necessary staff.
Money/takings - Banked regularly, Access only to a number of staff e.g. receptionist & Manager, Kept in safe, CCTV cameras
Personal belongings - therapist - Locked away in personal locker, keep valuables and money to a minimum
Personal belongings - client Keep locked away in a secure room, or keep their valuables with them in the room they are having a treatment in (maybe keep their jewellery in a small bowl). Do not leave the clients valuables unattended.
Task 2
2) Why is it important to keep a record of any contra indications established and how will this affect your treatment liability insurance?
Dangeous to have a treatment, avoid certain areas, professionilism, so you know the details when you give another treatment. It can invalidate insurance.
Hope the above helps.
RE: Maybe I'm just stupid ......
Kumari, you are a star!
Seems I was trying to hard.
I keep forgetting the Health and Saftey Act has replaced Common Sense.
While I'm here, anyone got any good links to information and discussion on contra-indications?
Do we have a links section round here where we can add links to sites we have found very useful with our studies?
I have a few I'd happily share.
