hi guys,
im doing my m8/9 assignment for manicure and pedicure treatments and need help wth some questions, can anyone help me please?
1)how does your appearance affect the image of the workplace?
2) state TWO corrective treatment, which will help improve a range of skin and nail conditions
3) state how to recognise:
a) weak nails
b) brittle nails
c) dry nails
d) ridged nails
e) overgrown cuticles
4) state three effects of incorrect use of manicure and pedicure tools
5) describe how each of the following can be recognised:
a) paronchia
b) warts
c) ringworm (on the nail plate)

Hi detox,
For the first question I think the answer should be along the lines of:
To present a professional image of the salon/workplace you should be dressed appropriately i.e. clean tidy uniform, nails clean, fresh make-up, hair neat and tidy. A scruffy appearance may imply a less than professional and careful approach to your work.
Unfortunately I can't help with the other questions.

ring worm is little round curcles on nail or as whitish patches witch can be scraped off nail
paronychia is the most common of all it starts as a torn cutical or followingthe loss of the cutical from the nail bactiria enter the live tissue behind the nail fold and a swolen trobing pussforms around nail border normal asosiated with people who have hands in water alot good book to get for you is a practical giude to beauty therapy for nvq2 there all in there by janet simms its about £15 ok hope that helps j xx
