RE: Learning about therapies

Check out this link, for a free Hypnotherapy course with valerie austin. probably booked up now but check it and see.

Course normally £1500 but she is doing a marketing experiment to see if it generates more PR for it.

Heya

Depending on the course you study, you may not need to have a separate A&P qualification, just completed the AOR reflexology exam and it has a good reputation, for this you don't need to have the separate qualification.

There's a lot of confusion about whether you need separate A&P for the VTCT and ITEC exams, as yet it's been inconfirmed - far as I know anyway - I would talk to the relevant college about this though. IHM and reiki you can do without A&P and stuff like colour therapy is the same, but for massage you generally need the A&P qualification.

For mind therapies there are certain courses you need to complete, but A&P isn't really necessary unless you really want to do it.

RE: Learning about therapies

I've just been looking into a Reflexology course.

There is a college that does one for a year only on the weekends and was though AOR so I'm waiting for them to send out a prospectus.. the course starts in November...

Looking forward to receiving it... 😀

Hi there,

Check out itecworld.co.uk.

That gives you a list who does what and where and when.

Good luck!

Hi Angeleyes

Just been reading this post - you may be interested to know that the AoR qualification is recognised by ITEC, so if you wanted to do Massage with ITEC after you did Reflexology with AoR, you wouldn't have to do ITEC's Anatomy & Physiology!
