Hiya.
can somebody help with the following questions pleeeeeeease.
1. What factors would you need to consider when preparing the environment for a consultation with a client.
2. Give 3 examples of non-verbal body language, and state why the use of non-verbal body language should be demonstrated throughout the treatment.
3. How could you demonstrate to a client that you are using good listening skills during the consultation?
4. Why is it essential that all clients details are recorded on the consultation form?
5. Why might it be appropriate for a client to have someone present during the treatment?
What course are you doing? Arn't there any clues in the course notes? Some of the points really are quite obvious - why not put down what you are thinking of saying, and we could give pointers?

ok here is what i would put...
1. consider disability, cleanliness, relaxation and comfort.
2. eye contact, smiling, nodding. So you show you are listening and unerstand.
3. reply to questions and queries. ask them questions.
4. its essential to keep a record so you are aware of any medical history or problems at each treatment and also for insurance purposes.
5. they might be disabled or a minor
But, joberg, it doesn't matter if you sound stupid - as long as you do some thinking for yourself. Everyone is very kind on HP but we've had discussions before about people just coming on and asking to be spoonfed all their homework and exam answers. Come on, have a think for yourself and THEN people will tell you whether you're right or wrong!

Am I right?
In fact I am well chuffed with my little self cos I had my first informative assessment (reflexology) and my tutor said I am more than capable to do a fromative assessment, so its next week. :speechless-smiley-0
Your responses look fine. I would be tempted to include 'touch' in the non-verbal section - simply offering your hand in a welcoming handshake can do a lot towards making someone feel at ease.
Our posts crossed, joberg. Your replies look fine to me. Well done.

Now you have shown us that you are doing the work yourself I am happy to add an idea or two

another thought...if English is not their first language, then someone else might be there to interpret
3. How could you demonstrate to a client that you are using good listening skills during the consultation?
**another way would be to sum up now and then..reflect back a few things***
