Just wondering about the effect all this wireless technology is having on us and the world itself. It seems a great idea and convenience not to have cables cluttering up the desks and home, but has there been any research into the effects of it? I had a quick look on the net but found nothing much so wondered if anyone here knows?
What types of transmission are used - radio waves perhaps? Does this effect us or birds etc? Will it be a problem as we use wireless technology more and more in the future?
It must interfere with us on some level surely? Over to you...
RE: Wireless danger
Oh, most definitely! There should be lots of info to be found, eg re pylons/cancer, those satellite TV things people have on their houses, electrical sub-stations ... the list is endless.
I've known people be made ill by the installation of underground Diamond Cable when that was first introduced ... now ntl.
I'm a bit short of time to go googling just now, but def. one I'll come back to 🙂

RE: Wireless danger
I haven't done it myself, but the "in"term is I think "geopathic stress". If you tried that on a search engine.....
RE: Wireless danger
I know what you mean, Caveman....wifi etc. I must admit we are guilty in our house with a wireless router for the internet, and a soundbridge in the lounge which is linked by radio to the computer in another room, and sometimes we use the laptop instead of the main computer to access the internet via wifi.
To cap it all, we have a wire - less doorbell, which has worked effectively for many years. However, since we got the router the doorbell goes off by itself sometimes for no reason, sometimes in the middle of the night LOL. We will probably all end up with green hair or worse!
Geopathic stress is nothing to do with radio waves I'm afraid, it's about energy waves running through your house. Here is some info which a friend wrote about it.
GEOPATHIC STRESS (Fact Sheet May 05.) A major factor in your health. The Earth radiates many electromagnetic fields similar to radio waves. Some of these fields or Earth Rays can be detrimental to all life forms. The Earth rays emanating from underground are disturbed or distorted by such things as subterranean water streams, mining works and foundations of buildings. The result is that the surface area suffers from what is termed Geopathic Stress.
The visual effect of this can be cracks in walls, damp areas on plaster; and a feeling of coldness in a room. Light bulbs having to be replaced constantly is another sign of Geopathic Stress. Geopathic Stress or GS reduces the body's immune system, often resulting in a weakening of the body's function. GS does not cause illness in humans, but will reduce your ability to fight illness. How do I know if I'm suffering from GS? Feeling run down, exhaustion for no obvious reason, depression; loss of appetite, insomnia or feeling exhausted on waking are all possible symptoms. If these symptoms occurred since moving house then it is highly likely that your home suffers from GS. Places to check for possible GS are the bedroom, lounge, or anywhere you spend a lot of time (such as in bed) Kathe Bachler in her book Earth Radiation suggests that infants and toddlers cry and toss in a restless manner if they are lying in areas affected by GS.
All life forms can suffer from GS; it is not only humans who are affected by such radiation. Animal and plant life are also susceptible. They can be divided into two groups - ray seekers and ray avoiders. Ray seekers include cats, bees, ants, bacteria; parasites, elderberry, cherry, oak; fir tree, and mistletoe. These thrive in GS locations. If your cat's favourite spot is on your bed, then be aware. Ray avoiders include humans, dogs, horses, sheep; cows, pigs, chickens, birds, fruit trees, sunflowers; rose bushes, beech trees, begonias and cacti. (note which flowers and plants flourish in your garden). What can I do to check my house? Dowsing is the normal way to check someone's home, workplace or related building. The dowser works by using a pendulum, working at the actual location, or using a plan of the building.
Alternatively, and the method I use the dowser can check the site with "L Rods. Dulwich Health has produced a booklet "Are You Sleeping in a Safe Place; and discusses this subject in greater detail. I understand that they offer a free dowsing service, and will check your home from a distance. If you find your bed is over a GS area, the obvious solution is to move it. However this is easier in theory than in practise. This option was not possible in my case, so I placed sheets of newspaper on the floor, covering the entire area under the bed. (The more sheets the better). However they do need changing every 2 or 3 weeks .Black plastic bags can also be used in the same way. People often confuse GS with "
RE: Wireless danger
Hi caveman,
You could be right about this, but I have this view that eventually, man will evolve himself into a technologically-fit being, who'll be able to use these things without fear of illness. Man, like all creatures, adapts to his surroundings and environment and if enough people use these machines, etc their bodies will evolve and adapt.
It may sound far-fetched, but it's not.
