UFO Crashes and Military Recoveries
This is not exactly news and may not be of interest to people not interested in this subject.
I came across a book I've had quite a while and picked it up last night - "Above Top Secret" by Timothy Good. Timothy Good (also a professional violinist) is, I should add, a meticulous researcher. He gets his facts right. If anything is only the account of one person, he'll point that out. "Above Top Secret" is hsi book detailing encounters between the military of many nations and UFOs, and even UFO occupants. When multiple personnel, base commanders and scrambled pilots are all saying the same thing - you really are being silly to say it's a made-up story. The book is also about how these encounters are later covered up. It covers the globe - from Britain and the USA to China and Russia, and military encounters in Spain, Italy, etc. (Since it was written there have been more in South America.)
Good has gone on to write deeper books such as particularly about creatures recovered, etc. But I was surprised how old this book is! Time flies! 1987! So it is certainly not up-to-date. My copy even had a folded letter from Good to myself inside it, dated 1993, before most of us used email.
Anyway, just glancing through, what struck me among other things is his reference to a former US Air Force intelligence officer, Leonard Stringfield, who even by the time of this book - which is why I stress this is the late 1980s - had already accumulated data and written about over 40 crashed-UFO retrievals. He backs his data up with multiple witnesses, usually a combination of military and public, and those who arrived at the crash, were part of transportation, or who were shown the craft or bodies later.
It made me think that we live in a kind of weird world in which this goes on, yet the public don't know and would mostly laugh at it. But examine the evidence and it's most compelling.
Two things which leap out at me here are that re "Retrievals of the Third Kind", we who are interested tend to think only of Roswell 1947. No, I'd forgotten all that's in this book. It also leaps out at me that for decades I thought Ufonaut technology was so immaculate that they basically never crashed. Apparently not at all so - it seems that way because if a crash happens, the miliatary are all over it quickly and it's very rarely reported in any way.
Think of it - over 40 retrieved craft reported up to the 1980s. One: We have to assume there are many more than those researchers have discovered about; Two:: These are Western reports, so there'll be more worldwide; Three: It only takes us up to the 1980s, so more since then?
I can't describe it all here by typing it out, but typically the public may or may not see something come down, then the public often get there first (and have testified to what they saw), the military quickly arrive and shoo them away, but with so many people involved in recovery, transport, and storage, a "good" such account can have a large number of the military tracked down and they do often attest to what they saw. Another aspect would be one such as in 1959 an expert on genetics was taken to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base [a lot seems to end up stored there] and was simply given a few cells to study. Upon discovering the cell structure and DNA was astounding, he - Leon B. Visse - asked where it came from? He was shown bodies of humanoid appearance, seven feet long, with blond hair. All faces were intact, but the bodies were injured. They differed from us in ways such as eyes widely spaced.
Fascinating stuff. Hundreds of high-ranking military personnel surely haven't all lied over time. There's much more in this world than most of us realise - but intriguingly, some humans do get to store and study these things......

I don't recall hearing of Leonard Stringfield, so just looked him up on Wiki. It includes:
Stringfield's interest in the subject began August 28, 1945, just three days before the end of the war, when he was an Army Air Force intelligence officer en route to Tokyo, Japan, along with twelve other specialists in the Fifth Air Force. As they approached Iwo Jima at about ten thousand feet in a sunlit sky, Stringfield related:
"I was shocked to see three teardrop-shaped objects from my starboard-side window. They were brilliantly white, like burning magnesium, and closing in on a parallel course to our C-46. Suddenly our left engine feathered, and I was later to learn that the magnetic navigation-instrument needles went wild. As the C-46 lost altitude, with oil spurting from the troubled engine, the pilot sounded an alert; crew and passengers were told to prepare for a ditch! I do not recall my thoughts or actions during the next, horrifying moments, but my last glimpse of the three bogies placed them about 20 degrees above the level of our transport. Flying in the same, tight formation, they faded into a cloud bank. Instantly our craft's engine revved up, and we picked up altitude and flew a steady course to land safely at Iwo Jima."
UFO interest rekindled
Stringfield said his World War II encounter was so traumatic that he tried to forget about it. But he was drawn back into the UFO field in 1950 when two very sincere people related flying saucer sightings to him. Stringfield then wrote:
"This one experience near Iwo Jima was proof enough to me in 1950 that the 'foo fighter' of World War II--sometimes dubbed 'Kraut fireball' in the European Theater--and the flying saucer were one and the same kind of machine and from the same source: outer space."
Uneasy about the "rumored loss of Air Force interceptors chasing UFOs, the low-level green fireballs over Sweden and the southwestern United States" and his own experience, Stringfield related he was concerned about the "intent" behind the probes. In March 1954, he created Civilian Research, Interplanetary Flying Objects (CRIFO), and published a monthly newsletter, ORBIT.....
---------------------------
Then Stringfield wrote, "Also taking note of CRIFO was the Air Force." Stringfield said the Air Defense Command in Columbus, Ohio called him September 9, 1955, and wanted his cooperation in obtaining immediate sighting reports using his large network of sources. To his surprise, he was also informed that the Ground Observer Corps (GOC) in southwestern Ohio had been instructed to report UFO activity directly to him for screening. (Stringfield lived in Cincinnati, Ohio.) He was then to call the ADC using a telephone code number ("Fox Trot Kilo 3-0 Blue") to report the better sightings. He was requested "not to ask any questions."
Later a member of the GOC informed him as to what happened to his screened reports. If the sighting was confirmed by radar, jets were then scrambled for intercept and the matter became classified. Stringfield recounted one such spectacular incident, on the night of August 23/24, 1955, when multiple UFOs were spotted on radar in the Columbus/Cincinnati region. Numerous jets were sent up for intercept over a wide region, but cloud cover prevented Stringfield from seeing what was happening, though he could hear the jets overhead.
To his surprise, the Air Force cleared his reporting of the incident in his newsletter. But when he tried to interest the local Cincinnati newspapers, the story was officially denied, as was his connection with the ADC.
Despite the official public denial of his work for the ADC, Stringfield wrote he received a letter in 1956 thanking him for his assistance from no less than Major General John A. Samford, director of Air Force Intelligence.

Roswell Witnesses
Just a quick extra note on UFO crashes where there were retrievals of the craft by the military, allegedly sometimes with bodies, possibly some alive.
It might still sound ridiculous to the sceptic. Without the necessary study that's understandable. One might ask - "If just one saucer crashed, and the military moved in to retrieve it, and there were bodies, it could take possibly scores or hundreds of people involved. Someone would speak out!?" Indeed.
They do, but it doesn't make the mass media. You have to look for the data oneself. I'm just revisiting Timothy Good's "Alien Liaison, The Ultimate Secret", published 1991. By then, 20 years ago, even more crashes had come to light with witnesses to the retrieval, in South America, Europe, Iceland and so on. But let's take just one --
Roswell is the most famous case. So why didn't anybody come forward and speak out? Obviously at first there was the threat of losing one's career, etc. -- to be court-martialed actually. Or no-one to even speak to in 1947. Well, by 1991 the two prime researchers, including Stanton Friedman, had found or been approached by no less than 160 people - mostly military personnel of course - who attested to have been part of either protecting the craft, the recovery, the transportation, or guarding the bodies and craft-parts during transit. (A few guards couldn't resist a peep either.) Beyond those 160 people, probably by now another 80 have come forward to other researchers. It might be about 250 who admit to Roswell by now.
It appears that two craft crashed many miles apart - one was in pieces and one basically intact but damaged and dug into a hill. So two sites, with the suggestion that they actually hit each other. The second, more-intact crash was at Magdalena. One account is that of Gerald Anderson who later became a police chief and deputy sheriff, yet was only five at the time. He recalls it consciously but due to his young age hypnotic regression has also been used. He was seeking agate stones with his father, brother, uncle and cousin and were the first upon the second craft. There were two dead aliens, one badly injured, and one healthy who had been tending the others it seemed. They were using the craft for shade against the sun. To cut the story brief, next a group of archeological students with their teacher arrived, who thought they'd seen a falling meteor. Then other civilians arrived including some who have already attested independently - so they do exist. Then the army arrived, very forcefully. The live alien "went crazy" and civilians were pushed back. The road was blocked off and even used as a runway. A number of these military personnel are known and have also told how they guarded this second crash near Roswell - orders to look out and not look around - and how the creatures and craft were transported.
This is probably in many printed places, and maybe online. I have it in Timothy Good's "Alien Liaison" where the other key books are referenced.
Point being, people do attest to these crashes and retrievals. Hundreds from the military have done so. Who is willing to read (to hear)?
Edit to add: Yes of course there are things online. A quick look gives:

Hi RP
Interesting, but that article is from Dec 2010 - are any wikileaks still being released?
