Regarding photos and videos, they are of course becoming more frequent as everyone has a phone with a camera these days and the images are getting better. Not only that but most folk have digital cameras with HD video now.
I agree I think with the boost in cams etc, then of course the sightings will "increase". I also think because of the boost in cameras, software and what have you - that it is now impossible for anyone to ever prove one way or another because it's so easy to claim "graphic edit!".
For some conspiracy theorists and if I'm not mistaken, also agreed with a lot of the Ancient Alien theorists is that it's more common. Personally I think it's the same just we live in a more digitally able world.

Yes, it's hard to sort the chaff from the wheat. What I mean is - are UFOs really increasing? I think not and that indeed it's the use of peronal cameras. Mind you, what THAT means is that all through the decades, images such as we now get could have been captured, whereas in the 1950s-80s all we realy usually have is spoken or written accounts. There must have been amazing tings seen before now.
I just can't any reference to it, but a Brit TV film crew in maybe the early 1980s were out in a field filming a piece about local farming - and the most amazing thing appeared above them. It got onto national news for one day. But for the life of me I cannot find it through any search. For one night it was national news.

The only parameters I can give is time = late 70s to early maybe mid 80s. I think early 80s or late 70s. And it was not BBC, so channels 3 or 4 or 5. But it then carried over to the national news having started on a Midlands channel, not national.
So a professional cameraman caught it and zoomed in, many people were about, and it was just not expected. It was a UFO trailing a large white cloud of smoke or whatever behind it, and it suddenly accelerated.
