I've come across Tachyon stuff before, but just came across it again today by accident and thought I'd ask what other people think about the Tachyon products that are out there.

(Wiki description of Tachyons : [link= http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachyon ]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tachyon[/link])

Essentially, Tachyons are scientifically theoretical particles. Einstein's equation E = mc² is derived from a slightly longer equation:

where E = mc² is the energy/mass equation relating to a particle with no relative velocity.

Basic mathematics tells us that when we take the square root of something it has a negative as well as a positive root. e.g. the square root of 4 is not just 2 but also -2, because -2² is the same as 2².

Therefore the assumption that Einsteins equation is just E = mc² is incorrect as really it can also be E = -mc².

It is the mathematics of Einstein that are mistakenly taken as an indication thatparticles cannot travel faster than the speed of light. However, what they really say is that matter travelling slower than the speed of light cannot be accelerated to, or past, the speed of light as this would require an infinite amount of energy. Also, using the same mathematics it can also be taken (although it was just disregarded in the early 1900's as impossible) that there can be particles travelling faster than the speed of light, but which cannot be decelerated to, or below, the speed of light, because that deceleration would also take an infinite amount of energy. The speed of light acts like a barrier between those particles travelling slower and those travelling faster, with neither side being able to get to the other. Those particles which theoretically exist on the "faster than light" side of the speed of light barrier are what scientists called Tachyon particles. They have never been scientifically detected and remain purely theoretical.

As I was saying, I've seen these Tachyon products around, but not really been taken by them. How could anyone capture Tachyon particles in something like a silican disc that is on the slower side of the light speed barrier?

I came across some "articles" about Tachyon energy:

What is Tachyon Energy: [link= http://tinyurl.com/36aeud ]http://tinyurl.com/36aeud[/link]
and
The Physics of Tachyon Energy: [link= http://tinyurl.com/2k2r9g ]http://tinyurl.com/2k2r9g[/link]

as well as there being others on the same site.

To me, these articles don't really explain what Tachyon energy is in a satisfactory way; although maybe I'm confusing Tachyon Energy with Tachyon Particles and really the former has just borrowed the name "Tachyon" for its own purpose and really they're totally different.

What do others think about Tachyon Energy and the products? Has anyone here used them and found them effective? Can anyone explain how Tachyon particles/energy are stored in the products?

RE: Tachyon

Hi Giles

I encountered tachyons a couple of years ago. I was introduced to them by an Italian whom I met in India who placed my feet in a kind of tachionized sock and left me to soak it up for 20 mins. Later an Israeli guy gave me a treatment (he placed sort of tachyon buttons over my body) for my then recently diagnosed and incurable lung disease.

You know, I was just going to write that I think they're useless when it occurred to me that in fact this supposedly progressive disease has in fact turned out to be stable, something which is unusual but not unknown. I also, BTW, had treatment from the psychic surgeon, Stephen Turoff. So who's to say which, if either, of these treatments worked?

When I looked into tachyons (and saw the price charged for so called tachionized items) I didn't think much of them. I haven't encountered them again.

RE: Tachyon

Thanksfor the reply sunanda.

Like you say, it would be difficult to determine what exactly has helped you to "stabalize" or whether it was none of the treatments but just what you have done for yourself.

I do know of someone who uses tachyon discs and swears by them, but I've not had chance to try them out myself and, like you say, the costs do tend to put you off just getting one to try and see.

Apparently if you're buying tachyon products to be delivered to the UK, there are limits on what products you can have; some of the products are not "allowed" to be sold in the UK. Problem here is, I can't determine if that's because of some law (customs or otherwise) or because of some self-proclaimed restriction from the manufacturer.

RE: Tachyon

Never been to an MBS show, Giles? It's just New Age mumbo-jumbo. [&:]

The spiritual side of the New Age can be good and even accurate, but when it gets commercialised ...... [&o]

So their use of the word "Tachyon" you can take as fitting into sentences such as, "Following the planting of the human race upon Terra by flying saucers in 222,222 BC, humanity lost all knowledge of time-warp efficiency or the healing energy of altruistic psychic beetles. However, with the approach of 2012, we can now reveal, almost for free, the use of Tachyon energy ......... "

Sometimes it'll be a commercial farce. Occasionally IMO there could just maybe be something behind it, but calling it "tachyons" is plain silly. (The New Age isn't about science! :D)

P.S. I couldn't read it, but I loved how, in the link you give - [link= http://tinyurl.com/36aeud ]http://tinyurl.com/36aeud[/link]- it al seems somehow restrained and maybe just scientific until the HUGE last paragraph - where they obviously get so carried away with enthusiasm that they can't even reach the "Enter" key. :D:D

To be honest V, I think you're right, it does seem as if the name Tachyon has just been borrowed for commercial purposes.

And you're right about the extra large paragraph, they obviously did get a bit carried away. 😀
