I hope this is in the right place...............

a bit of a change from my normal posting activity but I was wondering if it was only me who saw the most amazing shooting star on monday evening 15th november at approx 1740 hours, lasting a couple of seconds and from a north easterly to a north westerly direction an enormous bright blazing star( about 20-30 times bigger than the stars I could see) with a definite trail of light following it, it disappeared as quickly as it appeared but it made me think.

I was waiting for a client who was running late so decided to make a phone call to a colleague whils staring aimlessly out of the window on a beautifully clear evening and the above happened.

The last time I saw one I was with my family of 4 kids( now 5) and Jane my wife and the kids had been given some of those helium filled balloons from a restraunt we had been to for tea. anyway one of the twins said he was going to release his balloon and make a wish for my grandama who had just passed away that week. On releasing the balloon we all stared skyward watching its progess when we all saw a shooting star, Lewis is convinced it was Grandma answering his wish and letting him know she was in a happy place.

Mondays occurrence has kept me thinking all week, then today my Dad had a letter delivered by courrier from his consultant who went on to state that he sent the letter as he didnt want to wait to tell my Dad( at his arranged appointment in 3 weeks, and couldnt tell him over the phone) that after his 6 month scan he could see no evidence that my dad had any cancer left after surviving both bowel and liver cancer in the same year

Two shooting stars and two memorable family happenings, I feel a lot of stress has left me for a while at least
regards

Hi BGFL!

Lovely to hear from you again - you have been missed!! And, no I didn't see the shooting star/meteor last monday - my window faces west. Nice connection though and good news for you all.

All the best

How wonderful! So pleased your Dad has had the all clear. A shooting star that was perhaps meant just for you to see. Lovely! 🙂
