Geopathic stress is a wide term which seems to be used without much understanding. I recently went to a kinesiologist who said my symptoms may well return, due to GS, but couldn't actually explain to me what it was, which worried me slightly.
It's obviously worth trying anything that you feel comfortable with,as you and your dad both want to start feeling better soon, but I would check out this consultant's track record if I were you, and see if you could maybe talk to people he or she has worked with before.

Geopathic stress is natural radiation that rises up through the earth and is distorted by weak electromagnetic fields creted by subettanean running water, certain mineral concentrations, fault lines, and underground cavities.
Electro pathological energy created by excessive exposure to modern radio-active generating technology can also contribute to Geopathic stress. this includes; cell phones, computers, televisions, imaging equipment, microwaves, transformers and aeroplanes.
