Hi Guys,
I can’t post this to the “evolution of Man” thread as it got locked [link= http://www.healthypages.net/forum/tm.asp?m=217892 ] http://www.healthypages.net/forum/tm.asp?m=217892 [/link]But there was question that posed there kinda half-jokingly About ancient Egyptians inventing a method of creating their own rock: -
ORIGINAL: Conspiritualist
<snip>...What I mean is the internal cutting of that sarcophagus seems to been done at an exceptionally ‘quick’ rate – and if this is true…. Where indeed are these tools (it ain’t no copper blade with a wooded handle) - or did they in fact invent and employ geopolymer mixtures and actually create and fashion their own granite from scratch?
… Well, saw this recently and thought it was interesting: -
Qoute: “The Ancient Egyptians built their great Pyramids by pouring concrete into blocks high on the site rather than hauling up giant stones, according to a new Franco-American study.
The research, by materials scientists from national institutions, adds fuel to a theory that the pharaohs’ craftsmen had enough skill and materials at hand to cast the two-tonne limestone blocks that dress the Cheops and other Pyramids.
Despite mounting support from scientists, Egyptologists have rejected the concrete claim, first made in the late 1970s by Joseph Davidovits, a French chemist.” End quote
And : - quote “They found “traces of a rapid chemical reaction which did not allow natural crystalisation . . . The reaction would be inexplicable if the stones were quarried, but perfectly comprehensible if one accepts that they were cast like concrete.” End quote
Could this then mean that they did indeed posses the technology and know-how to have ‘caste’ the sarcophagus in the great pyramid?

RE: Evolution of Man (cont.)
Great find, Roger.
I've no time at the mo' to read or go to the article. Shock! Horror! Egyptologists disagree??? What a surprise. Their brains are more ossified than a mummy's. The received wisdom of how the pyramids were built has always appeared to be nonesense. There has to have been an easier method employed. Maybe after all it wasn't "Atlantean psi crystals charged with Giai-reiki quantum force"?
But ... I would have thought any rocks would display their nature from their geology quite naturally? :eek:Natural rock is either sedimentary or from lava, right? How could a kind of concrete ever have been mistaken for something else? - well, I must see the article.

Just read the article. I see ... Liquefied lime? Why not? It would be interesting to now look at other ancient structures around the world too.
