Scotland gets a mention - I thought we were going to be left out! We have counties up here too!!! I'm in Fife and work in Glenrothes and St Andrews - I also do home visits in Angus, Aberdeenshire, West Lothian, Clackmannanshire and Perthshire.

Yes, Glencoe was simply magnificent but not cold at all. It wasindeed extremelybeautiful there. But we didn't catch any haggis!! We must have used the wrong bait. 
Or maybe we had too much of that lovely scots whisky!!!! Probably ............... 
BTW the owner of our chalet up there told us about the dreaded deer ticks up there. He is on a 6 months' course of antibiotics for a bite from oneof theselittle beasties. [:'(]So don't venture into the bracken in yer shorts.
Glad to be back though. I really missed this lovely website. It has such a lovely friendly community here. So glad I found this site, and it was by a lucky accident.

Shame on you - everyone knows that you are not allowed to hunt for haggis during the summer breeding season which ends on August 25th (i.e. exactly two weeks after the closed season for grouse!)

hi pauline, north lanarkshire, aplace called Kilsyth, near cumbernauld. i used to go to glasgow more when i lived there, just got the 27 or the 24 (bus) and that was me!
i never been to wishaw, although i applied to work there i think .. i dont remember! would you be interested in making new friends? i am looking for friends!! and might go to the day out too.:)

I'm near Kinross and we had a lovely day on Sunday (lst Oct) - you can keep your microclimate, derekw!!! Even the barbecue got one more outing - I can still taste the grilled mushrooms - yum!

Hi jabba, I was up in Kinross on Sunday, went to the market - haven't been since last Christmas, but proper traders stalls seemed a lot thinner on the ground, with a lot more car booters - is that the norm now do you know?? As for my micro-climate, I'm right at the foot of the Ochils, but it still freaks me out when there's heavy low cloud, I look out the window and they've completely disappeared [sm=eeeK.gif]
