Scotland gets a mention - I thought we were going to be left out! We have counties up here too!!! I'm in Fife and work in Glenrothes and St Andrews - I also do home visits in Angus, Aberdeenshire, West Lothian, Clackmannanshire and Perthshire.

RE: Scotland!

Hi all,

I'm originally from Edinburgh & I have to say I miss it!

I'd live there now if I could but situations mean I can't. Maybe someday I'll move back - even in the distant future... I like to think so anyway!

RE: Scotland!

I've only just seen this thread. Of course you weren't going to be left out! These new regional forums are still a "work in progress" ... please bear with us.

Your comments about county categories have been referred to the rest of the moderating team and Admin.

RE: Scotland!

I dont do any of the therapies as a business. I work as a youth and addiction worker I do them in my work and for pals and family. I do reiki, EFT, Thai foot and hand massage, IHM, crystal therapy and hopi candling. I am trying to find a reiki share in Lanarkshire and its driving me round the bend. Thats my rant over for now.

RE: Scotland!

Hi Pauline,

Reiki share once per month in East Kilbride if that suits you. I went here for the first time last month (missed last week!) - have a look at

Hope this helps.

RE: Scotland!

Hi

I know that website, Louise Mackie is a friend of the girl I did EFT with. Is the share in Jackton?
I dont drive, that is the problem, its easy for me to get to EK town centre, after that I am a bit stuck as I am in Wishaw.
I do practice reiki a lot in my workplace, but there are a lot of practitioners in Wishaw/Motherwell, I just cant seem to find any info on who does a share.

RE: Scotland!

So sorry that didn't help - it is the one in Jackton. Must agree it is a bit out the way as far as public transport is concerned. If I hear of anything else I will pop a note on here.

RE: Scotland!

I think this is how we should divide up Scotland:

South Lanarkshire
North Lanarkshire
(Because for some wierd reason that's how the Scottish Executive has split us)

Everyone north of Stirling: hereafter referred to as "Highlanders Kilt Wearing"
"Highlanders non-kilt wearing"
"Highlanders gaelic speaking"
"Highlanders damn sassenach language speaking")

Everyone south of Stirling
(but not in Lanarkshire north or south)
hereafter referred to as:
"Lowlanders of all varieties"

Them in Glasgow

Them in Edinburgh

We are a friendly united Scotland, do we need to be split into counties lol...

"The Mysterious Islanders"

Of course, how could I forget the islands, hereinafter referred to as:

"anyone on aScottish islandwho needs to get to mainland Scotland by boat, plane or "over the sea from Skye - by bridge".
Swimming counts too, you could probably swim across the little bit of the Atlantic that separates Seil (or use the bridge).
Any other method, including digging tunnels and parachuting in,are also acceptable.

Moonfairy,

Such a delicate name, so I think you should be warned.

If this is your first visit ...

Be afraid , be very afraid ..... of the cleggies

Don't ask what they are, or where they come from ...... when one finds you, you will know [sm=eeeK.gif]

Have a great stay 😀

RE: Scotland!

Clegs are little black insects that stick there teeth into you sucking on your blood, little vampires the size of a match head.

Hi derekw [sm=wave.gif]

Well it wasn't my first visit, but the second, and both times I have come back unscathed. Hee hee. :DBut I am more than a match for a few insects. [sm=speechless-smiley-040.gif] Anyway thanks for the warning.

P.S. I had a fabulous time up there in bonnie Scotland. It is getting to be quite like my 'hame land'. 😀

Best wishes

RE: Scotland!

Hello moonfairy

I went to Glen Coe many years ago, to ski. I don't recall any occasion ... before or since ... when I have been soooooo coooooold. I thought frostbite was the next thing.

But I'll bet the area is stunningly beautiful at this time of year. Did you manage to snare any haggis?
