I found this link on an e-newsletter from lastminute this week - basically about random acts of kindness. We don't seem to have had a thread about random acts...... recently so thought I would share.
I particularly liked this one
when going through a toll booth pay double and pay for the car behind you. Then remember to get your passengers to check out the puzzled look on the drivers face as he tries to see who was in front of him
How cool is that? I can't wait to do it.
Anyone got any more suggestions? I love hearing about them and getting ideas.
Hello Celtia,
I love random acts of kindness you can get Smiley cards to leave as a calling card for the person to pay it forward from they are free.
One of my favourites is to pay for a cup of tea/coffee on my way out of a cafe for the next person who is served and watch the look on their faces from outside where they can't see me but I have loads of others.

Thats lovely, and its a shame it doesnt happen often enough, i must admit i dont either, but one day near our local shops they were erecting a house (some sort of association) that would be moved to house a poor family in need. The workers were from the church, and young and old were working together, after my shop was done i popped into the church and took some biscuits for them.
It was a little thought but it felt good to do a little act of kindness....
Yes - absolutely. It doesn't need to be a grand gesture. In fact I believe the little things we do can often be more touching.
I so agree Rachel, that was a lovely thing to do Sheangel.

This thread has reminded me of another a few years back called something like 'The Sufi way of giving'. It spoke of the different ways that we can do a good deed. For instance, if we want to give away a ten pound note we can hand it to someone face to face, to receive their thanks or we can leave it somewhere they will find it and then watch from afar so we see their expression. But the Sufi way, apparently, is simply to place the ten pound note somewhere and then walk away, knowing that God will arrange everything and that it is not necessary for us either to be known to be the giver or to know who receives it. That, IMV, is a real random act of kindness.

Lovely idea Celtia. Today I was at the Flower Club's AGM and won some flowers in the raffle - I passed my ticket on to a new member at the table who was delighted to be going home with an arrangement. I hope she will be an enthusiastic member from now on. It was ages before I first won a design!
